(questions highlighted below if you dont want to read my novel
)
I wasnt a heavy smoker per-se, but my habit had increased over the last 4 years to about 1/3 to 1/2 pack a day.
So one month ago i quit immediately when I got my 901 (from bestecig, happy with the service, good price).
Its been going great, i've only relapsed and had 2 analogs once when i was drunk and at the end of my juice which i wanted to save for the next day, and once during extremely high stress when I wanted to be mean to my throat.
Im not trying to quit as much as find a healthy replacement, and this has hit the spot dead on. I used to be a big fan of hookah smoking, but stopped due to all the maintenance and dust involved, but the e-cig is like a portable hookah to me! Flavorful "smoke", good for blowing rings, and gives a nice buzz.
My lungs have felt a great improvement, I sprinted the other day and didnt feel like I was going to drop dead.
My sense of smell and taste has come back like I never thought it could. This past month, i've had a dozen instances of smelling something and having an incredibly strong thought reminiscent of childhood- I almost teared up several times thinking of memories long forgotten. I cant believe I was being denied these feelings because of tobacco, I didnt even realise it.
I feel like i've spent more money than if I was smoking analogs, but now that i'm sitting on 4 batteries, 5 attys, and handful of blank carts, I find myself ordering 15$ of juice every 2-3 weeks, which is just fantastic, and im going to start getting more than 30ml, so to save on shipping.
Questions:
So, while I feel i've settled into a good habit here, I still feel as if I may be "doing some things wrong". Basically, while im happy with it, I think my technique needs improving.
I dont drip, I just top off carts, I only drip to prime a cleaned atty.
One annoying thing that I have happen to me is frequently when I put down my ecig, I pick it up a few minutes later to find that juice has leaked from where the cart seals with the atty. It leaks and sticks along the ecig in a line where it touches the table.
Its very annoying, I thought I was overfilling carts, but really im not, I add juice untill its moist at the top but not smooth, where I can still see the grain of the PTB filler I use. (im using JC juice but this happened with the bestecig juice, which I dont buy anymore because the flavor isnt so great, really throat tingy)
Q: Why is my juice leaking from the cart/atty seal? Am I doing something wrong?
Second concern, is sometimes my batteries, which I try to drain completely before charging, act like they are not charging when I first put them on the charger.
I screw on the battery, and the green led dims, but does not turn red, and the battery does not flash.
I found that if I leave it on like this, within a few minutes, the light flashes and the led goes red and the thing charges, but at first I thought my batteries or charger were faulty.
Q: is it normal for batteries to take a few minutes sitting in the charger to actually "start charging"?
Last question- i'm vaping JC juice and i'm really liking it over the bestecig juice that came with my kit. Is there better, should i keep trying new vendors, or if i'm happy with JC should i just stick with em? (wish they had more flavors, but shipping is fast and the juice is good).
So i'm a very proud new member of this warm friendly community here.
Thanks a million to the administration and members of this forum for the endless help and good advice.
Sorry for such a long post, I had to get that off my chest though, im very happy with my decision, and i'm very happy analog free!
