Hello everyone, I am very new to the vaping world but so very glad I am part of the community. After this last thanksgiving my wife wanted to check out a local retail store called the eCig Shop in our own town where we live in Anoka, MN. We walked into a very nicely kept shop with a couple of high top tables with many small bottles of liquid and bar stools, a full size couch and display cases with various e cig devices and accessories. There wasn’t anything in the store associated with tobacco at all. The man working there (Steve) was assisting some customers and immediately greeted us and began helping us by pulling us into his current detailed conversation with the folks who were already there. We were extremely surprised to find that we could sample the devices and various flavored e cig liquids. He cleaned and disinfected each one after each use. After an hour and a half of Steve’s dedication we pulled the trigger and purchased a EGO T starter kit. I began using this immediately while still smoking analogs. After much experimenting with this unit I found that I liked vaping A LOT and that this could be just the thing for me to quit a 35 year old habit. I cut back on my analogs until I finally decided to smoke my last one New Years Eve 2011. I have been smoke free since then. Since my purchase of the EGO I have tried many different atomizers, cartos and other various accessories and attachments to make a more satisfying and fulfilling experience. Having visited this store several times for these accessories I tried one carto through the GLV2. I tried the same carto on my EGO battery and found the difference between the 2 was like night and day. Steve had told me from the 2nd time I entered his store that eventually I was going to get the GLV2.
He was right!
I went in last Friday and wanted to purchase one, unfortunately he was out of stock with the exception of one which he was going to return to Jay at GLV. He said he could maybe try to repair the defective device and placed a call with the folks at GLV for guidance. After a short time he was able to fix a short in the head cap and offered me another head cap from his own personal GLV2 in order for me to take one home that day.
Obviously I am not a connoisseur on PV devices however the following needs to be said. The GLV2 is an amazing yet simple device which performs well beyond my expectations. It is amazing in the flavor, and warmth of the enormous vapor reproduction. It is simple in that its assembly and disassembly is very easy. The build is very solid with high quality materials and machining. The design is fantastic and the finish is more than just pleasing to the eye. The functionality and reproduction of vapor speaks for itself. I am using a DCT 3.5 tank carto on my GLV2 and I do not see myself using anything other than my GLV2 in everyday use and my EGO for more discrete settings and a back-up device.
For a fulfilling experience I recommend the GLV2 and if you are in Twin Cities, Minnesota area stop into the eCig Shop in Anoka and pick one up. I have read all the rave reviews on GLV’s Jay and Sara’s accommodating customer service efforts and Steve at eCig Shop extends that very same style of service to all that walk into his store.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this forum and I look forward to reading more of all your postings.
