I have two nights of actual meals! On Friday I was with a group and we all cooked together: angel hair pasta with fresh heirloom tomatoes, garlic bread and salad. Tonight was a broccoli/cheese baked potato. We won't talk about the cheese and crackers last night.

CES, that sounds like great fun cooking together. And boy, do I love the broccoli/cheese potatoes.

If I lived alone I could live off cheese and crackers....chips and salsa......and peanut butter sandwiches !

I was just sitting here thinking if I could pick only one meal to live off of, what would it be. I would have to say a loaded tuna san on sourdough with swiss cheese and olive tapenade; and a side salad w/marinated veggies, feta and plenty of cheesy garlic croutons (drooling).

We have been doing a lot of fast food lately...tonight was Subway. Tomorrow I am doing a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, homemade cranberry sauce... Yes, I am craving a REAL meal lol

Wow Thanksgiving in April! I used to do that in July also when I lived on the beach and invited my neighbors. We had so much fun pigging out and sloshing it down with beer. And I went rollerblading first to get the metabolism going first. Fun memories.

Another green smoothie for me - kale, spinach, banana, and blueberries. But this thread sure does make me drool in anticipation for when I'm through with it (thinking of a bowl of Tom Khar Gai and Panang Curry over rice).

OK, oven is fixed finally. Didn't know how much I depended on it until it was down for 2 weeks. Chicken barley soup with homemade biscuits tonight.. yummy!

The soup sounds good :)

I am not feeling so hot...( I am not even hungry. Have hardly vaped today either. Think I'll have some ramen later.

(((((hugs)))))

Made Turkey Bone Soup.

I simmered turkey bones all day today. Was in the freezer from Christmas and it was use it or toss it !
Cool it down...strain...pick any meat off of bones and put into pot.

Open a can of carrots...mush them up a bit. celery, onion, fresh garlic, ground pepper. About a cup of milk (I don't measure).

Cheated today and used store bought noodles.

Nothing wrong with that classy. I don't have time to make homemade noodles like I used to

I wish I could find a good seasoning for noodles to make them a little spicier. I stopped making them years ago b/c they just tasted blah - like just flour and broth mixed together. What seasoning does everyone use in theirs to add a little pizazz to them? Please and thank you.

You can add just about any spice you want as long as it's ground up fine enough. I like making them with pesto, sundried tomatoes or spinach

Try a pinch of cumin and a pinch of cayenne !!

This is a great add for just about anything...not enough to really taste it...but just enoough to notice "a difference".

Make clam chowder really pop with 2 pinches of cayenne.....yumm ...LOL...gives it a throat hit !!!

Leftover remake!!! Gary made a rice dish over the weekend & took leftovers for here. It has red onion & bacon and some hot chili flakes. It was yummy on it's own, but I revamped it for dinner. So I added sofrito & black beans! YUUUUMMMYYYY! Then a I sliced some muenster & cheddar cheese leftover strip steak and put in a whole wheat tortilla and baked in the toaster oven. Topped that little number w/ some lowfat sour cream and salsa. What a meal!
