I ate some of my dog's food tonight. No lie. When I went to the dollar store the other day, I picked them up a couple of cans of vienna sausages that I take home and boil the salt out of -- just for a treat every once in a while. I cut up a can of those little thingies and put them over brown rice with picante sauce. It made me burp, so then I had to drink about a half gallon of water.

A can of soup........ I know, sounds pathetic........ My dad was in the hospital and now the rehab wing of a nursing facility, all due to some inappropriately prescribed medicine. We almost lost him. I've been home for a few days, but drive back to Ohio tomorrow. So with things a little crazy, soup works!

(((((hugs))))) Make sure to get some rest for yourself!!!

Tonight's dinner was a couple of pieces of Strawberry Daquiri cheesecake. IDK what's gotten into me lately (groan).

ValleyGirl, allrecipes.com is my favorite website too. They have an awesome collection of veggie burgers! Their Thai food collection is really good too.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I agree w/Mary Kay, take extra special care of yourself. Simmering the essential oils of lavendar and also rose in an aromatherapy ring or diffuser are really quite relaxing. I got depression when quit smoking, and if it weren't for the oils, IDK if I could have made the transition. They really work.

Fudgey, your DH sounds like a jewel! Fajitas is no easy meal to prepare. Lucky you!

Seabrook, I have the Black Bean Veggie Burger in my "to try" folder :w00t: Can't wait!

((((Hugs)))) to Lisa...hang in there! Wishing you a nice hot bubble bath when you get home!

I think you'll really like it. That's the first one I tried. I'm not too crazy about bread, so I put the patties in those new super skinny Whole Wheat Rounds, which are really good too. I served them when daughter & SIL came over, and they liked them too. The next one on my list to try are the ones made with portobella mushrooms.

Pround of you Lisa, yep hang in there, the worst is long gone.

Bar-B-Q hamburger' s, if it does'nt snow again today. Easy.

Mmmmm...yum!!! I love bbq-ing burgers out on the grill!

Tonight is Baked salmon seasoned with lemon & dill, steamed brown rice and mixed veggies sauteed in a lil' olive oil/ garlic.
It's healthy food for tonight, cause tomorrow is date night - and we're going out for drinks and appetizers. Those are never healthy!
