Well I am dealing with vape tounge and trying to break in a new coil. No not asking for help I got my Extreme Ice in now. Also since i was only able to get the 1.5 ohm coils for my Kanger Aerotank mini instead of the 2.0 ohms I had before, I had to find a new vape spot. Unfortunately though I ran into a problem. Since 11 watts is the max on my Itaste VV I couldn't get the power I needed. Then I thought. What if I switched to voltage mode. Using this online version site,

Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator

I got to work. I heard for around this ohm 13 watts was a sweet spot for some. So I first I checked how much voltage was needed for 13 watts. Then rounded it down to 4.41. Set it there. Now i am vaping on about 12.9654 watts. Interesting enough max voltage on this is 5 volts. That is 16.666666666666668 watts this thing can actually put out. It makes me wonder why set the watt mode limit so low. I should be good now until I can get my MVP 20w with my new tank I plan on getting. lol

I should also add this explains why they keep VV in on these things. To give us the option to bypass the set wattage limit if we really need to. Obviously though if this wasn't a duel coil, I wouldn't be needing to vape this high. Not even 11 watts was quite doing it for me. Oddly enough when i set to 11 with wattage the wick kinda tasted like it was trying to burn. Not with how I am doing now. Not sure I understand that one lol

The wattage limit is so low probably because of the amperage limit of the device. 4.5 volts on a 1.5 ohm coil pulls 3 amps. If its a twist style the amp limit is 2.7 amps iirc. set there it might not actually be putting out 13 watts due to the battery. Either way I cant imagine that its good for the battery. what device are you using?

Why are you being careful not to take long draws? :?:

Cause I am a bit worried it could burn out the coil. I don't taste any burning but I am not taking the chance. Besides I am getting good strong hits from it now so i don't need as many long draws. That and this Extreme Ice is 36 mg nic. Though it doesn't always seem like it lol

Not sure either. When I press the plus and minus at the same time it shows 4.1 volts. But my setting is clearly 4.5. Also I switched it back to wattage. set it for 11 watts and it isn't hitting as good there. These things are pretty interesting. Never really played with the settings as much until now. lol. On another note though I will be glad when I can get me an MVP 20w with a nautilus.

I agree. Plus I decided to bump it up to 5 just to test if. Vape was hitting hard but it was a bit too warm. lol. The exteme ice isn't really supposed to be a warm vape. Bumped it back to 4.5 at that point. Could he it is showing one thing on the display of the current settings it remembers in that because it think it is suppose to stop at 4.1 cause of 11 watts. but instead the actual setting you got it set on just doesnt show up when you do that. only when you go to adjust it. That's my theory anyways. Makes me wonder what some other VV/VW mods can actually get up to using VV. lol

The thing is when I do that with it set in watts the voltage it shows varies depending on the watts I got it on. My guess is the most this might do is drain the battery a bit faster. I might bump it back down once this vape tongue is taken care of and see if perhaps that is part of the cause of some of the issues I am having. All I know is I am glad to be getting the vape I am right now.

Yeah it would unless they are programmed to limit the wattage based on the coil's resistance. Just so people don't accidently burn out their coils. I have considered one possibility with all this. I have been awake for over 24 hours. So perhaps it's all just in my head and it is vaping 11 watts and the same. But since to me I think it should be putting out more at this voltage, my brain thinks it is. I thought 5 volts might be too hot and it seemed that way. I thought 11 was too weak so maybe my brain thought it was. I'll have to test this better when I am more awake lol.
