thats the impression i was under as well. i dont know the ohm limit but if it was 1 ohm the battery amperage rating would make sence. 11 watts at 1 ohm is about 3.3 amps. doesnt explain why 5 volts would seem hotter than the 4.5 on the device. if you have a multimeter or something you could find out for sure

Unfortunately I don't really have a multimeter or whatever that is. I am probably more confused then you are on this. The things we come across when we mess with things. Of course if Voltage is need taking it to a higher wattage then you can normally set though this could mean with other vv/vw vices it could be possible as well. I'd love to see some people with 20w, 30w and maybe 50w to test this out if they have the right stuff for it. Perhaps it is possible to take the 20w almost up to 30w. That certainly would be interesting. Anyways I am off to bed. Nite.

My conclusion to all this. 1.5 ohms suck on this thing. That is all I got right now too. That freaking blows and the only shop we got in town that they only sell the 1.5 ohm for kangers. I'm broke and still looking for work so I won;t be getting more 2.0's for a while. Hell even a 1.8 ohm would probably work better. From what that vid says the coil still only fires max 3.7 volts for the 1.5. I think part of my experience last night was me being tired and possibly my mind playing tricks on me. Doesn't seem to be making much of a difference now when I try the voltage higher like I was last night. Seems about the same as 11 watts now. Vape Tongue seems to be wearing off but unfortunately my juice don't taste near as good or quite like it should be tasting. Not like it was with my 2 ohm coils. I guess it is vapor frustration for me until I can afford to get some more coils. This time i will be ordering them off the net.

As for the taste, have you tried cleaning the coil?

Just did. Or rather the best you can with a Kanger Duel Coil which isn't well. You can't take them apart. Well not without pliers and you risk breaking them with those. Best way is a paper towl. Rolls a small end and stick it up in there and let it absorb. Still didn't improve it. Just the taste doesn't taste like it's should be. Also I just put this coil in the other day. It has only been through 2 kinds of juices. My Hawk Sauce which cause of Vape Tongue couldn't taste and the Extreme Ice I put in yesterday to help with the Vape Tongue. It doesn't really taste like it has gotten dirty either. Even with the limits this thing has on the 1.5 ohm I wouldn't think there would be a difference between 8 watts on either coil since in wattage mode it should have enough anyways for it. But hell even 8 watts on this thing don't seem like enough. I have seen people talking about the 1.6 ohms for the nautilus needing 13-14 watts on theirs for the right hit. Since this is even lower then theirs, I am wondering if perhaps this might need the same. I wouldn't think I would but I am far from an expert on this.

no i mean cleaning as in soaking in alcohol. putting paper towel in there will just soak up the juice. an alcohol soak cleans the crud off. i wouldnt imagine its very dirty yet though.also the number of watts to use i find depens less on my coil and more on my juice. certain juices taste better at certain wattage settings. for example i have juices that taste good at 10 watts. i have others that reall shine at 20. try going lower. you never know

I did try lower already lol. I know some juices do better at different wattage. This is a juice that before tasted good at 7 and 8 watts. I haven't done an alchohal soak on any coil I have owned. Mostly cause no vodka. Not sure if rubbing alcohol would be a good idea. On average in the past my coils usually lasted me about a month or 2. which is pretty long considering how many people have issues getting stock coils to last that long. Also wouldn't the wick absorb the alcohol? That means the first view vapes I'd be vaping a bit of that alcohol. Of course I could dry burn it out. But then I also risk burning the wick if I am not careful.

You let the coil and wick air dry after soaking. as long as you let it completely, i repeat, COMPLETELY air dry you can use rubbing alcohol. it is poisonous so i again it has to completely air dry before use. it completly evaporates so it would be safe after drying. luckily rubbing alcohol drys fast. still id let it sit fo 24 hours to be safe. you dont have to be as careful with vodka or everclear but you always let it air dy
