Hi all,
I bought some off the shelf e-cigarettes that I saw and couldn't resist to not purchase, eventhough I was quite sure it wasn't the best of products.. Since I live in Bangkok, Thailand, I didnt' really want to order from an online store yet..However, there is really no vapor from this thing at all.. I've seen some youtube video reviews of other e-cigs, and this produces almost no vapor in comparison.

The one I bought looks exactly like this product here:

However I have 2 things to ask about:
1. This thing give sreally low vapor even after a full charge, so is there a fix or this? Or should I go get a replacement? Even if the new one may not be much better? (I have a 6 month warranty on this thing, so I can return this as many times as I want in that period)..

2. The first day I tried this, I had a really bad ache in the back of my throat.. like a scratchy sensation and i couldn't sleep because of it, however I did some reading on this forum and found out that it could be releated to the PV/VG thing, and that VG might be better for throats .. so my product might have some with PV refills (they were zero nicotine ones).

Any help is appreciated, thanks :)

Edit: AcK!! I can't post URLs yet. :(

Anyway, the product is in a black coloured box and it has a label saying "eHealth e-Cigarette" Comes with one E-cigarette and 10 refills.

Thanks for the info, tarkus. I see, that's not a surprise, the product was quite cheap, but I couldn't resist wanting to try it. :p

Indeed most of the information on this forum seems to be more US oriented (or UK in some cases too), not too much Asia.

Anyway, what I'm looking for is an e-Cig for no-nicotine vaping, some nice tastes (Apple or other fruits), heavy vapour, and reasonable charging times. If anybody here knows where to get a good e-Cig suitable for that kind of usage, I'd appreciate if you could let me know where to get it from, thanks. :)

Hi Augmentation and welcome! I don't know anything about that model, but I'm sure there's some info about it here... somewhere...

As far as the ache in your throat: Yeah, it could be a PG/VG issue, but since you're not getting any vapor I'd guess it's something else. Three things to check:
1. Your cart: is there juice in it? Some vendors make/distribute them empty, or mostly empty. Try switching the carts and make sure the battery is charged.

2. VG: you can pick up vegetable glyceride almost anywhere. Try to get a bit and drip a tiny drop directly onto the atomizer.

3. Replacement: I don't know the specifics of your warranty deal, but a good warranty is no substitute for a good vaporizer. It might be better (and cheaper in the long run!) to order a better quality pv online.

And if you haven't read THIS yet, you should. It's a great guide to e-cigs. Good luck!

You might want to post your request in the I'm looking for.... thread.
Where is that thread located? I checked the forum's Sticky and Pinned threads and I didn't find it.. thanks for your advice. :)

Thanks for the reply butchrobotpope!

I did a little bit of researching on here again today and I think I know the model I have, it's probably the m401 or m402, but a chinese brand.

Okay I tried one of the refill carts that came with the box and this one doesn't seem to give me throat aches anymore.. I guess it was the original one stuck on the e-cig that perhaps was not nicotine free (and might have had some other checmical that made me alelrgic to it)

2. Regarding VG, Thanks for the info.. I'll try to find out if I can get it somewhere in my country.. probably the supermarket should have it.

3. I don't mind ordering online, as long as the shipping to my country won't be expensive and I find out which one would be good for my vaping requirements. :)

Thanks for the link, I read that already, quite definitive indeed.. I'm sure I'll be reading more of that thread throughout my vaping endeavours.:D

That ecig is not highly rated in these forums but I have no idea what is available in Thailand. 2 highly recommended ecigs are the d510 and kr808d1. You can research both here.

Do you mean the Joye 510.

augmentation you probably posted in the right place. You need 15 post to post in most places outside the New Members Forum.

Hard to be sure, but generally, there is no filled cart on a new cig. They usually put on a blank cart, mostly for cosmetic reasons. Were you vaping it dry? That would explain a lot. Did the refill cart give you vapor?

Ah, thanks Wireguy. :)

So well here's basically my requirements for the e-cig if someone could please help me reduce my options:

1. No Nicotine: I don't smoke, never have, so I want something for purely pacifier vaping. The reason I want to vape are: a) I enjoy the sensation of the vaper coming out of my mouth and b) Brownian motion in action is always pleasant to watch. :)

2. No Throat Hit: Naturally, I don't need any throat hit either.

3. Vapor: Like most people, I'd like something that produces a lot of vapor, and also thick vapor.

4. Taste: Since I'll be smoking purely pacifier, I'd like some nice staste to go along. Wouldn't really fancy taste of burning.

5. Battery life: The longer, the better.

6.. Not sure anything else! :)

I will be settling for VG, since I think it's the better option for my needs.

Also, I live in Thailand.. if there happens to be a local supplier for a good product, that'd be great.. if not, at least something in Asia? I would mind something fromthe US or UK, I'm only afraid the shipping costs to my country will be too high.

Thanks for your help!

Actually both of them gave me Vapor, just quite little amounts. There definitely was vapor though. But genrally the amount is to teeny.

The refill cart gives me vapor, yep, but whenever I draw after a long time, the vapor will be a bit thick, however after 4-5 consecutive draws, there's barely anything... I have to just stop it and came back again after maybe an hour for another puff or two of satisfying vapor.

Oh and there are other vapers on the forum from there. Maybe they can help.

<URL>

Here are some threads where thet are discussing it,
Hey wow, why didn't I figure doing that before..:|Thanks a lot, that should help me quite a bit. :)
Just another thought. All ecigs are made in China and a number of approved vendors listed at the bottom of the forums page are in china (CN). Quite a few people in the states use them for larger orders (since the freight is rather high) but freight to Thailand may be much cheaper than from anyplace else.

Hmm, I see, that's interesting. If I could find some URLs to order from china (relaiable quality ones) that'd be nice, thanks for the info tarkus. :)

Sounds like your atty is running dry after a few puffs, the carts you have are probably not particularly well filled and it takes a while for the liquid that is in there to wick down to the bridge/coil. Keep the cig oriented so that the LED is down, let gravity assist if possible. If you get some liquid, you could direct drip, which would probably help with both vapor and flavor.

tmrbrown327: You could be right, as the cartridge has only a very small piece of polyester fiber instead and I'm not sure how much the metal mesh (the thing that sticks out) gets dipped into it. I tried your suggestion, but gravity doesn't seem to help much at all. The only way to get a significant amount of vapor is to simply stop vaping for a while, and then starting again.. only the first time or two the vapor will be good, however.

Unfortunately I don't have any e-liquid.

Since you're not looking for nicotine, you could, if you wanted, pretty much manufacture your own liquid with locally available materials, probably even in Thailand. Propylene Glycol, some vegetable glycerine, some flavoring (probably citrus), maybe some grain alcohol. Recipes abound on the forum. I did it when I first started, but had to go back to pre-made juice for the nicotine. It works.

Thanks for the info guys. :) I'm learning more and more now.. things seem less confusing, but yet again I have to ask for suggestions... :p

What's the best know e-cig (automatic battery please, not manual) for good vapor production? No throat hit required. I plan to use the e-cig for only pacifier smoking and only for occasional use. Thanks for any suggestions and recommendations. :)
