Hello there good people!

I am an analog smoker of 10 years and I have desided to quit smoking.

On Dec 19th I placed an order for a DSE510 with a manual batt. from ecigexpress.com.

It is now Dec 25th(Merry Christmas Yall!) and I have yet to receive my order. I don't fault ecigexpress as they shipped my order on the following Monday which was Dec 21st which is understandable. I am not complaining about anything I am just making a point to explain I do not have my e-cig yet.

I am a first time vapor(or will be...) and I am really excited about this prospect. I intend to vape for a good while. Until the novelty of it wears off at least. Then I will begin my process of weening myself off nicotine with the assistance of some gum or patches.

My concerns are with ecisexpress but they really are just curiousities.

Has anyone ever bought from them?
Are their products of good quality?

Thus far I am happy with them because according to them and USPS they shipped my order and as of right now USPS has it somewhere between me and Pennsylvania.

About the DSE510

How do you like it?
I did a lot of research and nearly bough from Blu but I found the horror stories just in time...

Is this a good beginner e-cig?

Thanks yall!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but most 510's are made in the same factories in China. I love the 510 for its throat hit and easy to refill cartridge. Try the 'blue foam mod' and you'll have a winner. Enjoy!

the DSE-510 is an imitation 510 made by a different company (Sailebao) who make the DSE series PVs. I find they don't perform nearly as well as genuine joyetech 510 atomizers.

the DSE-510 performs more like a DSE-901 , they both have the metal washer seated in the base of the atomizer.

Thank you for your quick replay! I am curious though. What is the blue foam mod? I did a google search and a forum search but I didn't see any results that looked to involve a blue foam mod.

Thanks

Do your research on the mods, but I suggest you use your new e-cig "as is" until you get the hang of it, and see how it responds.

Too many new users are trying to mod their e-cigs right out of the box, and they have no clue when it starts to act up.

FYI; I've been vaping for almost a year now, and I'm still using the same stock items, (Except batteries) with no issues.

Well, Allow me to elaborate. Please excuse my ignorance but I assumed that all 510s were the same with minor differences. The e-cig I got was the Joye 510, Black with Manual battery. I don't know if that makes a difference or not but there you go. Either way, do you think as a noob I will be happy with it? Speaking in general terms, I know you can't tell me that I personally will enjoy it. I guess what I am asking is it worth the 55 bones I laid down for it?

Very good advice, thank you. I actually did not intend to actually mod anything for the time being but I know m and I will want to look into it as time passes. Thanks you.

Yes , assuming you got a joye-510 you should be very happy with it , i LOVE the 510 atty , and for my money i feel it's one of... if not THE best atomizer you can buy.

You wrote DSE and that was throwing some of us off. I looked at the site and those appear to be the real 510s. All of the Joye 510s are identical except for color and auto or manual switches.

Well, freakin awesome. I feel better bow. I will admit I was having just a touch of buyers remorse and I haven't even received it yet. Whatever, I think I will be happy. I read many reviews, watched MANY review videos (Including yours GrimmGreen). I was a little worried it might be an e-cig better suited for someone with experience but I feel like I made a good choice.

On, a separate note. GrimmGreen, I watched your reviews of the Yeti, PS Protege and the DSE-905. You have convince me that I want a Protege. I watched other reviews and checked out the PS site and I know I will be buying one in the near future. I know I said I want to ween myself from nicotine but I really want to just have one of those because they seem just amazing. Also about the DSE-905. Sorry it broke but that was quite possibly the funniest review I have seen for any product in a while. Just your reaction was priceless. Again sorry it broke but I thought I'd mention it. Great reviews BTW, keep it up.

Thanks again everyone for offering up your advice and sorry for the confusion.

my starter kit was the Envy super mini and it was ok for what it was but after visiting here and ordering the joye 510 i never smoked another analog.

Here it is two months later and i have yet to fall off the wagon on tobacco.

as far as what to order i suggest Camel and 555 for tobacco flavor (they seem to me to be a little less sweet than my 1st big favorite MLB usa mix)and almost anything when it comes to fruit and candy.

My fav non tobacco flavor so far is peach but i can't wait to try them all.

Just a note - this is the blue foam mod people are talking about. It's excellent IME, but everyone finds their preferred cartridge filler. Look at the Cartridge Mods subforum and you'll find...differences of opinion (here? never!) ;)).

Best of luck!

Or, you can search for 'blue foam mod' on you tube. I simply cut the foam to roughly the same size as the original white cart filler on a 510. For me, it turned my average cart to an (slight exaggeration) all day sucker.

Please excuse my broken English. I'm from Texas....
What the hail ya'll talkin' 'bout? And would you like a Coke with that? What kind? We have Sprite, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper....
*giggles* I'm a transplant to Texas, so that sort of comment amuses me. Haven't developed an accent yet unless I'm drunk, really tired, or ticked off, though.

Okay, off topic... but just had to say Howdy. ;) - RR
