Thanks very much Mindfield for a very fair review, both pros and cons. Seeing as I'm a noob I NEED my easy draw. Nice also to see a Cdn supplier with great prices...$5.99 is unreal.
Cheers and thanks again, Vapoor.

Thanks, glad you liked it. GreenhouseOne seems to have the Boge LR cartos for $5 a pack. They're technically not Canadian, and it'll take a few weeks to get your stuff, but the price can't be beat.

Unfortunately, before I made my decision to buy/ support Cdn, I had just ordered 30 Mega Dual Coil Cartos + 1 tip for $66.00 incl. shipping.

Great review on the carto's mindfield! I'm working my way through a couple of packs I got from another company (but mine have a black sticker wrap.....hmmmm).

I agree they work pretty good and do give off lots of vapor. I also agree they have a tighter draw then regular boges. What I didn't realize was that they have a smaller hole, but thanks to your video I learned a new thing today :). I tried them on both my reo grand and mini and I find that they worked great with my higher ratio pg juice, but the 70/30 vg/pg juice was always getting dry hits.....now I know why, so thanks!

Good reviews, always great to see video reviews of canadian suppliers.

I really like Black Licorice flavor lol. If you do get another Rootbeer let us know how that one tastes heh.

Mine don't draw too tight, but it is "slightly" stiffer like you said I guess....definitely not uncomfortable at all with the black version and a cone. I could see how the white would be too tight for sure, oh well.

I do also notice that the carto's generate some higher heat and I can't vape too many in a row or it gets too hot. I also get the odd dry hit if I vape too fast with my 70\30.

Anyways, very nice job on the reviews man.

Glad you liked it! Yeah, that hole does contribute to it, but as I discovered in Phil Busardo's (literal) teardown, the bottom coil also has a conventional wick-and-wire setup at the bottom, which makes it more like an atomizer with a bunch of filler on top. Because of that though the wick and wire are also partially blocking the tube, which also would account for a good portion of the tighter draw.

I don't mind black licorice either, just not when it's supposed to be root beer. :D I don't know if I'll get another root beer as it seems it would be a bit of a waste if that's really what it's supposed to taste like. When I place another order and get him to throw in the freebies I'll compare it to their actual black licorice flavour and see what the difference is -- though I really can't imagine how much different it could be seeing as the root beer was about as close to a vaporized black Twizzler as it's possible to get.

They definitely provide a warm vape, but I think there's a bit of play in the resistance there. I've had them meter out at anywhere between 1.9 and 2.1 ohms, so it's the usual variances here. I don't generally chain vape so it's not an issue for me.

Anyways, very nice job on the reviews man.

Thanks, glad you liked 'em!

nice review mind:thumbs:

Thanks! :)

Hey Mind,

I'd cut that "rootbeer" with some cola (tri) -> Perfumers Apprentice - Cola (Tri)

I got a mix of that stuff from RachelCoffe awhile ago, and I think it's what you're missing. It tastes just like cola, and the triacetin gives you that bubbly feeling when you vape it.

Interesting. But cola and black licorice? Seems a bit odd, and yet possibly intriguing. I like the idea of a triacetin base, too. That would give a kind of fizzy feeling. I've really gotta bone up on some of my PA flavourings, they've got some interesting stuff FA doesn't.

Thanks for the reviews!

Any time! Got more coming from Elektra shortly too, and some from GRBC in a week or so.

Well I was thinking if the black licorice is the base of a root beer, then cola has got to be a lot of the rest of it (I would think) might have to cut the black licorice with straight PG/VG first, and add the cola so it's not an over powering black licorice still. If you do this, lemme know how it works lol

Licorice is only a small component of root beer. I don't think any root beer recipe I know of uses the cola nut. The majority of the flavour comes from sarsaparilla root extract (or some simulation thereof) with possible additional notes (depending on who's making it) of vanilla, cherry tree bark, nutmeg, ginger, acacia, star anise (similar to black licorice), wintergreen, burdock root, red/black spruce sap, birch sap, molasses, fennel, cinnamon, clove, honey, and/or a few others. Generally though the licorice/anise flavour isn't supposed to be prominent at all.

Still, cola with black licorice might be an interesting experiment just the same. :)

Surprised you didn't mention the actual flavouring that Elektrajuice uses comes from Flavor West. I ordered blueberry, keylime, chocolate, and havana. The fruit base flavouring taste like they should, in fact the blueberry & chocolate rivals the best out there. However, the Havana is horrible, taste like a dirty bar of soap...which, if you do some research, Flavor West is know for terrible tobacco bases.

Overall, I would recommend any fruit base, and stick to TPA or FA for tobacco's.

I didn't even know they used FlavourWest, though it would explain some people's complaints about them being weak, since looking at FW's flavourings, their recommended dosages are pretty high. However so far I haven't found that, and I have two more that should be here tomorrow (at least I think; last track shows it in Montreal, and I've no idea what it's doing there) so I'll review those as well.

The Tidewater Tobacco wasn't bad though, it kinda grew on me, though perhaps it's because I didn't really taste much tobacco.
