Nice job, Phil. I've been wondering about people saying that it throttles back the voltage to 3.7V. This proves that it's really throttling back to whatever gives 2.5 amps. I've been using 1.5ohm DCCs on mine and been happy with it. I could swear that it does get hotter and hotter until it tastes burnt at over 5V. Maybe it's just my imagination. And I've been using a Smoketech DCC tank, but it's a smaller diameter so it doesn't bottom out on the raised outside edge of the cap. I'm waiting for my local vendor to get some 3ohm DCCs to try.
Someone want to lend their Provari for a month? Your sense of humor just keeps shining through.
Keep up the good work. Thanks!

Thank You for this video. It proves my theory.

Phil, One last feature that is available on our versions of LavaTube/VV tube ect is if you push power button 7 times, thet n hold fire, then press power button one more time.

You will get the loaded voltage of the IMR as it goes into the boost circuit. not the output voltage.

I used this to find the cutoff protection with my 1.8 ohm dripping atty.

A fresh 4.1v battery showed 3.4 underleoad at anything above 4.5 sometimes 4.6.

As soon as I set the voltage to 4.4 the IMR battery underload showed 3.5.
Meaning the amp cutoff kicked in at 4.5 volts.

I proposed this as a way to find the max voltage you could set it at with your carto/atty.

I hope you don't mind but I am going to link this thread in my thread.

As always I love watching your videos.

Also where is that from? "Can I taste your juice".

I've heard it before, but it gets stuck in my head whenever I watch your videos.

Thanks again. You also proved some information I was given wrong. I was told it used PWM to regulate voltage but obviously it doesn't.

Hey Phil...

This is perhaps the Only 40 Minute Review I have Ever seen that I Didn't Fast Forward thru. Great Review.

I liked the use of Still Frames for Product Close Ups. And the Volt/Ohm Charts were what Just About Every Review has been Missing. Also I thought the Comment of the Button Position on the Mini was Spot On.

Once again, Great Review.

BTW - I thought the Screen on my Mini was a tad Blurry. Sort of hard to read. Chocked it up to Cheap Quality Plastic.

Today I looked down and to my Shock, it looked like the Screen was coming Lose from the Tube Body! Great. One week and the Screen is Falling Off.

Turns out that I never noticed there was a Clear Clingy Film Protector over the LED Screen. Once I peeled off the Clingy Protector Film, the Screen was Much Easier to Read.

Thanks for all the additional info and kind words everyone!

One question.

Some users have said that they are experiencing a Significant Drop in Output Voltage as the Stock, No-Name Batteries become drained.

I was wondering if you have seen this or not? I’m assuming that the Testing you performed was with a Freshly Charged Battery.

Hi Phil....have been enjoying your informative and entertaining reviews since I first started vaping. As usual, you provide incredibly helpful info. Thanks!!!

I just received a mini LT through a co-op today and looking forward to playing around with different voltages, with a Boge 3.0 carto.

Just wondering if you could possibly make that graph available as an attachment in this thread.

Thanks very much. A lot of that type of information will be contained on my new site:

Once it's up and ready to go.
