When I bought my first Evod rig, the little local shop only had pre-mixes from want2vape. I sampled about 10 flavors before I finally settled on the less repulsive flavor. I immediately went home and started researching vape forums for flavor recommendations. So began my search for a flavor that could possibly compete with my nasty habit.

I ordered sample packs anywhere from 5-10 various flavors each from HHV, Indigo, Captivape, Halo, Seduce, Virgin Vapor, AIV, FP, Gremlin...and the list goes on...out of all these orders the only few flavors that I reordered were a couple of the tobacco blends from Indigo, the rest were absolutely disgusting in taste....sickly sweet with a nasty, nasty cheap perfume taste.

It was at this point I decided to give diy a try...a matter of last resort. I knew the flavors I didn't like from the description of what I'd been trying/buying. I figured no way could I mix up anything as awful as what I had been trying to vape.

To this day I haven't varied much from my original orders...I've just refined my brand flavors. Yeah I'm a picky vaper...many various tobaccos, vanillas, marshmallow, chocolates, creams, coconuts and that about sums up the flavors I mix with. I think my bad experience with pre-mixed has prevented me from even wanting to try any fruits/desserts...makes me want to gag even thinking about some of those flavors...especially banana!

Not to sound pretentious but I guess I'm mixing exactly what I want/like that makes me love my little circle of flavors in various combinations so much. I wouldn't trade any of my mixes for all the pre-made I've ever tried....I feel better now that I've got that off my chest... tHe PiCkY vApOr

Hail all picky vapors :toast:

I feel the same as I had a terrible blueberry juice from a local (big) eliquid company....I forced my way through most of that rancid juice. I finally got ahold of the manufacurer through my local vape B&M and after 2-weeks they gave me a 240ml bottle of root beer juice for free....it was terrifyingly bad....

I gave away some and flushed the rest down the crapper....almost gave up vaping because of this experience. Now I DIY some pretty good juice and as you said my small circle of happy flavors....is what keeps me off cigs..

I have had Want to vape's web site bookmarked for a long time, and I always wanted to try their cigar flavors, do you know if they were/are any good?

Thanks

DIY ry4, Bavarian Cream,Honey, a locally produced custard and i mix Rip Trippers Klorine with my DIY Cream Soda 40/60. thats pretty much it. i have named the Klorine/Cream Soda "DIRT". my son says it tastes almost identical to a "dirt" flavored jelly bean but i find the sweetness that is added with the Soda part makes it delicious. good luck and don't be afraid to mix small batches of off the wall things. you might just find an ADV.

Yep. I started with tobaccos because everything I tried was crap. But didn't have nearly the selection there is today...

My main vapes were my tobaccos before I really started getting into other tastes.

I agree, Tony at Indigo is one of the few pro mixers that I can respect the tobaccos. Still not what I really like, but not bad. Maybe back when I started Indigo's would have been good enough that I would have delayed making my own...?

Being picky about your flavor and making exactly what you want to vape is perfectly acceptable here.

Yeah Tony is a nice guy. I've called him several times and he'll work out about anything you want. Best I remember I was buying his Duke, Eastwood and one other tobacco and Duchess which was a sorta black and mild before I blazed my own trail....kinda feel bad that I stopped doing business with him...

Ive really tried to support local shops by buying juice here and there but Ive recently stopped. I know there are some decent juice vendors online but even there I feel like Ive bought alot of just plain.... well... swill. All I find locally is TPA, or FA, or single flavor mixes. It fine, for those that arent making their own juice I guess. In their eyes its probably fantastic stuff. Many other issues including it being mixed too thick and not wicking right are common as well. I just dont have the patience for it anymore and it makes me happier everyday knowing I can be as picky as I want cause I make my own. My highway, my way.

Does that make me a vape snob? Yep. Damn proud to be one too.

I like my baccy vapes and I dont need chemical tasting foo foo from a vendor. Gimme clean nic, good flavors (the hard part imo) and clean vg and distilled water and Im good to go.
