Ok so, I decided that I wanted to find PG locally so I can begin my mixology. I was out and about with my girl friend and we stopped my hobby lobby and Michaels. I found Glycerin at both places in small 2oz bottles. I was standing there thinking about how much more I like PG vs. VG. I decided I would go on a quest to find some. I have read several posts on how it was very difficult to obtain, and others where people walked in to CVS or Walgreens and got an order no problem. I decided to go to the Wal-Mart pharmacy.
I approached the consultation counter, waited a minute or two and a very nice guy asked if I need some help. I told him I was looking for Propylene Glycol. He came around the counter and showed me some laxative and before I said anything he said oh that Some other stuff I never heard of. I nicely told him I was told that I can fine PG for my fog machine at any pharmacy; he happily went back behind the counter and looked it up on the computer. As I nonchalantly watched him, I saw he was stuck at the computer. Before long a lady was called over there and they exchanged some words. The whole time I acted like I was waiting patiently for the gentleman to get back to me. Peering inconspicuously at the two conversation I saw the lady shaking her head and I could have sworn I saw her mouth the words its for an e-cigarette. Now I could have been just paranoid and the fact that I already lied about why I wanted/needed it was making me a little uneasy (mainly from the rejection stories I read from other posters). Next thing you know the actually pharmacist came over to the computer. Now Im thinking damn, so much for this idea. Then, another guy in a tie walks up to the computer. The pharmacist turns around and asked me have you ordered this stuff before and I said No maam, (looking all innocent). Low and behold after the meeting of the minds, the original guy comes back to the counter and says ok, we will have it her around noon tomorrow, its $13 (and some odd change). I wanted to say REALLY??, however, I was like Ok, cool. How many mils is the bottle? he said Umm, its a 16oz bottle. Laughing inside, I gave him my name and a number to contact me when it was ready and walked out
Was pleasantly surprised! I also discovered that they Sell Lorrans flavoring at hobby lobby in the cake/candy making section. They had a good 10-12 different Flavors in a double bottle pack for about $3.50 per package.
