A question aboot Canada Post holding shipments

I saw a thread on this from 3 years ago, and I'm confused to say the least. Both my Mom and I are vapers, who have ordered from vendors within Canada. She orders from CanadaVapes, and my recent order was from CanVape. The orders went through just fine until the supposed delivery date showed the following status reports:

Date	Time	Location	Description
2014/06/13	06:21	BARRIE	Item arrived at postal facility. Item on hold.

	00:56	BARRIE	Item processed at local delivery facility

And let me say that waiting through the weekend while I'm urgently low on e-liquid does not a fun time make. Unlike the aforementioned post, this isn't exactly the holiday season so... Are they overstocked with mail orders, or is there a bigger picture going on with these guys that I should be concerned about?

Call CP and ask. I have found many of their reasons that they put on their tracking stuff means something entirely different than what it implies.

I called and asked. All they said was that they didn't receive any record of a parcel yet and to check the site. So in short: "....DAAAAAH... IUNNO!"

Edit: So I called them up, and it turns out the box containing the parcels broke. I would've appreciated a less vague tracking update but at least now I know what happened.

Yeah. I've had a status go from out for delivery to redirecting to new address. Say what?!

What that one means is it went out with the wrong carrier and because they have to track it when it changes hands, that's the reason they give when the right carrier gets it. **sigh**

You're not alone in the recent Canada Post being wonky. I have an order that the tracking showed shipped in the US last week. Friday hit and Canada Post can no longer find the tracking number. Using the tracking on USPS and it says it cleared customs on Friday. I'll give em another couple of days and if not I'll be calling.

There was no juice in the order. Patiently awaiting a second $30 EHPro KFL+v2 from the same vendor.

Apparently they aren't finished having fun with me yet. After yesterday's status read "Item out for delivery" again, I check it this morning and once again: "Item arrived at postal facility. Item on hold."
I've seen batter parcel handling from Ace Ventura.

Never had a problem with a delivery from Canvape. But I have had a problem with the same shipping method in the past. Keep on them and make sure you get a name everytime you talk to someone. I asked for a ticket to be opened on the file so I did not have to repeat myself with the problem and that there would be a clear record on their end as well as mine. (It turned out that they delivered the package to the wrong location.)

I asked for and got the full cost of the item as well as the postage. This was more than the amount originally covered by the insurance.

Have you told the guys at Canvape about this? They may be able to do stuff at their end.

I got in contact with Canada Post again today and the package is as good as gone. Fortunately, after reporting the problem to CanVape, they swiftly sent me a response, saying they'll re-send the order out today.

Now then... if I could only rid myself of this fear that CP won't screw this one up too...

I was too stupid to ask, unfortunately. That's an interesting tip though, I'll have to consider asking them come my next order.

Canvape as many Canadian suppliers are very fast at getting most orders out for post, however CP is another story.

I always get my parcels, however my mail guy never brings to my door, and always leaves a card telling me where to pick up my parcel lol.

Every time the tracking says item being delivered I've even been home many times and boom the card comes through the box.

One time I was waiting, and as he put the card through I opened the door real quick like, and omg he almost shat himself lmao. He explained oh I didn't think (think) anyone was home...... I said try knocking!!!

One time I was awaiting a parcel from slow tech err fast tech and watched as the parcel came halfway through my letter slot, and then be pulled back, I was like ... by the time I got up and opened the door my mail guy was gone as if he was sucked into some vortex.

Sure glad I pay his wages.....

my mailman sure looks like someone who doesn't want to fill the paper saying you need to go get your order at the post office, he rings my door 2 times and leave me plenty of time to answer before he even take the paper out

I have had this exact same issue with CP more than once. Waiting for an item that is supposed to be delivered to my door. No knock, no doorbell...just a card left behind telling me where to pick it up. When asking why the card was left behind, I always get the same reply 'no one was home at the time of delivery'
To which I always reply 'but wouldn't he have had to knock to find out I was not home?'

I swear being lazy beyond belief is a requirement to work for CP.

I used to have the same problem with my mailman, but now when I'm expecting a package I place a note on my mailbox with the door code and sure enough I get a buzz and he's knocking on my door a minute later.

I guess making it as easy as possible works.

Sure beats having to wait 6-8 hours before having to go to the CP office to pick it up.
