So I used to be a heavy smoker. About 2 years ago I switched to a vape, smoking 12mg nicotine liquid. After about a year I switched to 6mg. I pretty much smoked my vape all day, and I could say that I over did it quite a bit, and thinking about it was taking in a lot of nicotine. About 4 days ago I switched to 0mg nicotine content to try and rid myself of the addiction.

However ever since switching to 0mg, I've been feeling mildly lightheaded, constantly. it'll go away when I'm sitting down or not moving much, but moving about I'll feel ever so slightly lightheaded. I just wanted to ask if anyone who has does the same as me has had the same effect. Does anyone have any knowledge on the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal? I've looked it up online but most of it refers to cigarette withdrawal, which is different.

Anyone had a similar experience or know anything about this??

Hard to say what is Going On. In that Everyone is Different. And None of us are Doctors.

Something I wonder is what happens if you take a Few Hits of your 6mg/ml? Does the Lightheadedness go away for a bit?

BTW - On average, How Many ml's of 6mg/ml were you vaping per Day? And what were are you using to Vape with?

BTW2 - Welcome to the ECF.

Going from 6mg to 0 can a fairly big jump for some people ... you should go to 3mg first, then to 1mg.

As far as side-effects, yes, headaches, possible stomach issues and a few other things... are all possible.

You might want to take in some nicotine and see if it goes away.

If these persist, go see your doctor.

I tried 0 nic for a while and found that I was never quite satisfied so went back to 3mg. never experienced any lightheadedness, though. Could be caused by the fact that nicotine is a vasoconstrictor. Without it, your arteries are more relaxed, allowing more blood flow and, thus, a lowering of your blood pressure, as mentioned by Bunnykiller.

Yeah I mean what you guys are saying is pretty valid, 6 - 0 is quite big, but I mean I seem to be okay with it in every other sense. I don't seem to have much of a craving. Still being able to blow out smoke and stuff helps I think. I recon it's probably the low blood pressure. Since I pretty much always had nicotine in me, my body is probably just reacting to the sudden decrease in blood pressure. I mixed a little of my 6mg into my 0 and it seemed to get a little better - but i also suffer from quite bad anxiety, and it's difficult to tell what is psychological or not. I'm going to try and get some exercise over the next few days, get my heart pumping and raise my blood pressure. If that doesn't work, I'll go see a doctor. Thanks for the advice !

You should note that more and more (with vaping), I've seen, have been told, and read about, is that many didn't expect that while the nicotine is the only thing ever mentioned for the whole addiction, the truth is, there's a lot more to consider.

It's getting pretty clear that the worst withdrawals that some people get aren't the nicotine at all, but all the other poisons from cigarettes. The nicotine part seems to be quite different at many levels, and isn't always the "craving" thing.. some people it's just the "sucking on something" stimulus that drives them crazy when they quick smoking.

The effect of nicotine is showing to not be the demon that it's been made to, but more at the level of caffeine and similar, and even includes some possible proof of being a positive thing. So if your system is still hooked on nicotine (some people are more sensitive to it than others) and want to quit it completely, don't sweat it, just ween off of it bit by bit.

If you mix equal parts of 6 mg and 0 mg that WILL give you 3 mg/ml

I am currently at the 3MG I have been at for a long time and I was originally heading for zero, But after having a few of my DIY mixes at 1.5 MG one day while vaping some Zero something was missing and I added nicotine to make that 60 ML's of commercial into 3MG. Now all my DIY mixes are at 3MG and I am intent on staying at 3MG. Just how it worked out for me even thinking I would one day be vaping Zero MG.

Dropping from 24mg down to 3 mg nic levels over several months was easy for me. I did that in 6mg increments at first and then 3mg increments from 12mg down to 3mg. I tried zero nic, but it was a flat vape without a little nic sensation, so I went back to 3mg and stayed there.

Most of us have agreed that there's a noticeable difference in 3mg nic and zero nic. Obviously, we can sense the present of nicotine even at low levels. When we hit zero we no longer detect it.

Nicotine is detected by the presence of Cotinine in a blood or saliva test. It can stay in your system in decreasing levels for 24 hours or so. Still, you might sense lowering nic levels before that time.

It wouldn't hurt to see a doctor about the lightheaded feeling if it concerns you. It may be just your system adjusting to the lack of nic in your system or it may be blood pressure, low or high or maybe even something else. The again, it may be nothing at all. Getting checked out will ease your mind about the whole thing.

Before I quit the icky sticks, I smoked about a pack a day of American spirit orange (not yellow). I am not sure if you would consider those on the heavy side of smoking. Here and there when stock was out I would get a pack of came lights or something along those lines.

I am not sure if this had anything to do with it but I do drink two cups of green tea a day, going on 20+ years now. It has been shown recently that green tea helps reduce the affects of smoking. Maybe in my case, it helped and I didn't even know it. I drink it twice a day just cause I like to, lol compared to those who drink coffee. Oh I add nothing to it either, no sugar or anything else. Straight up.

Not familiar with those smokes except for a friend trying to tell me they were the same as the Marlboro Reds I smoked which I did not think that was true. Since you successfully went to Zero more power to you and Vape On if that is what you choose but for me vaping without nicotine just lacks something and I will stay with my 3MG and even thinking of making some 6MG or higher one of these days for experimental purposes.
