U.S.
Unfortunately as far as the U.S. goes, it is no longer a government for the people, but a government for the corporations. Based on power and greed. Like OSHA is not concerned for safety of the workers but only for the profits of the insurance companies. E-cigs will be regulated and taxed by the FDA eventually because all TPTB see are dollar signs. Countries that don't see a viable way to make money from it, ban it. The U.S. won't ban it because they will think of a scheme to profit from it. Just like the battle of big pharma and natural herbal supplements. Herbal supplements are too dangerous, yet, watch any drug company commercial on TV and the side effects of the advertised drugs are much worse than the actual symptom it is meant to treat.
As always, the people will lose and the government and corporations will gain. Because it is all based on corporate greed.

What disgusts me is that the big tobacco is insinuating that they will be using the very same toxins and poisons in their "smoking article/smokable rod" that they do in the tobacco cigarettes!!! WTF!! Why would anyone WANT to move to their "smoking article/smokable rod" only to get the same exact poisons that they currently get from an analog? This is ludicrous.

Look at the side effects of Chantix - a drug designed to help people quit smoking. I would never take this garbage, simply because of the side effects:

Side Effects of Chantix - for the Consumer
Chantix
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Chantix:

Constipation; gas; headache; increased appetite; nausea; stomach upset; strange dreams; taste changes; vomiting.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Chantix:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); behavior changes; chest pain; fainting; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat; hallucinations; memory loss; new or worsening mental or mood problems (eg, aggression, agitation, anger, anxiety, depression, nervousness, thoughts of hurting other people); red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; seizures; severe or persistent nausea; suicidal thoughts or actions; trouble sleeping; vision changes; vivid, strange, or unusual dreams.

There are more advanced, "for the professional" side effects, which include lymphadenopathy, myocardial infarction, tachycardia, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, sexual dysfunction, There have also been reports of serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and erythema multiforme, in patients taking Chantix

This is all taken from Drugs.com. This is an FDA Approved drug, which means our own people in charge feel it's perfectly normal to suffer a heart attack while bleeding into your intestines and hallucinating...all in the attempt at a more "normal" life.

...... they'll sell it for the same price they get now from analogs, and it will be taxed as analogs.
Shoot, a prescription for a Nic inhaler to help me quit cost me 78.00! It was not covered under my insurance.

A nicotine inhaler is a FDA approved prescription medical device, as such I can't see it being banned
from use indoors as an "evil" e-cigarette. As they are easily available at the cost of a RoughStack
Buy Nicorette Inhaler from Canada at Well.ca - Free Shipping
I have a challange for all the modders out there!

Can a modder take a FDA approved prescription nic inhaler and insert a decent battery,
with a 510 or 901 connector, so that the appearance is of the original device, but actually
be a true PV device?

I would personally buy the first prototype a modder could build.
I like buying mods, not building them, keeps modders employed, good for the economy.:)

Dont even get me started on Chantix!! I suffered this medication for a 2 week period a few years ago. Everything smelled bad (way worse than it did in reality), everything tasted bad, and it definitely affected my mental functioning. I was not suicidal, but had I continued on it, I believe it would have gotten that way. Chantix is bad bad bad and yeah, all you have to do is read the warnings... I recently just read that they have officially tied 29 suicides to Chantix use.
