I am new to mixing my own flavors (should get my first order today, since the confirmation number shows that its already gone to the sorting facility near where I live)

I was wondering is it easier for a first timer to make a single flavor? (well, I suppose the answer to that would be yes), or someting with multiple flavors?

I kind of want to just jump in and try making something interesting and good..

Hey WolfAtTheDoor :)

I would suggest starting with a single flavor first, get your feet wet and have something to vape :)

Multiple Flavors are not hard, there are plenty of recipes available here on ECF :)

The trick with multiple flavors to me is knowing really what each flavor I have tastes like. So if I want to make say key lime pie. I know whats in a real one, the keylime filling, whipped cream topping and the pie crust. Knowing what my flavors taste like is more important then the name of it. I would take keylime flavoring (obvious one) Graham cracker and butter flavors for my crust portion but the whipped topping isnt so easy. Sweet cream is not "sweet" it illudes to the cream flavor but in knowing its taste I would want to add some sweetner or cotton candy to pick up the sweet notes Im missing :)

So when your new, the first thing I would suggest is making very small test samples (without the nic juice) to vape and taste, get to know your flavors before diving into the world of mulit flavors and your journey will be smoother and tastier!

I did get my kit today.. Nice and fast shipping and wonderful extras and quality of things! lol.. so I tried the green apple first with no nic as you suggested... then I couldn't help myself and jumped head first in and made a small batch out of green apple and caramel candy... think I need to tone the apple down a little, but my caramel apple is almost as good as some I've bought!

I would definitely suggest starting with single flavors. Also keep in mind flavors tend to vary from maker to maker and most like PA have multiple variations of a particular flavor. I would start with small flavor bottles until you find ones you like, or you can just end up like me and have a flavor of virtually EVERYTHING known to mankind.

But if you see a recipe that looks interesting go for it, the nice thing with DIY is it's only penny's your wasting if it turns out awful (and believe me I've had some bad recipes) Speaking of which you should always start out with small amounts and if it works out just double/triple the recipe.

Yeah I've already made a couple I couldn't stand at all, but for the most part they have turned out rather nice.. Even had one that I thought would be good, but didn't like it at first, but after a day or two I found out I did like it after all.. Though for the most part I'm not too crazy about my flavor choices.. don't really like the flavors of the PA marshmallow, maraschino cherry, mint chocolate chip(reminds me of keopectate), or the graham cracker.. the blackberry is just ok, didn't like it at first but kind of like it, kind of don't now.. the green apple, caramel candy and banana cream are great though..
