Looks like the mid 20's for us but the wind chill brings it down to mid teens.

Trying to book flights for Ms PT an I for a trip to Dubai, non-work related sadly. Told her for X-mas just pick somewhere we have not been to. Dubai was not in my mind but never been there so I'm OK with it, just seems like a long flight for some shopping.

Welcome home mixxy. I'm not sure what we are doing today.

Thanks hitt :)

Good morning y'all.

Mixxy, glad you had a good trip

Still visiting the nephews. We've been playing games too- 'cept the older nephews are into 'smart ...' and monopoly. the younger are into any toys with lots of little pieces, even better if they can make noises to go with them.

CES... You'll need a nice vacation once you get home from all that 'playin'... it sure makes you appreciate peace & quiet again after being with kids!

OTD, you might want to take a look at one of these nutribullets like I just got. Easy way to take in fruits and veggies.

I bought a nutribullet last summer (my vegan sister was bugging me about not eating enough veggies ) after 3 tries I just couldn't get used to drinking 'green' and decided I like my veggies cooked! Just using it for fruit smoothies... and it IS a cute little blender! :)

Yep, we got back about 3:30 and it was a nice day at the flea market. It was more crowded than I expected after Christmas.
We bought some tomatoes and more reading glasses so I think we did OK with our 'no buying' walk. Can never have too many reading glasses around the house.

I saw 3 ecig vendors there but one of them is from our lil city and I was impressed with his products and even though his prices are higher than I'm used to paying, it's nice to know that gear and juices are available if necessary. Got a complimentary 30ml bottle of 'Tiger's Blood' which is supposed to be a fruity flavor. Will try it soon!
We had a really nice vape talk session.

The flea market sounds fun Gracie.. and that is nice to know you can get e-cig gear & juices.. and to get a trial to boot! :) Don't think we have many flea markets here anymore. Mostly just farmer's markets in the summer.

Goodnight Fran. I went shopping with my wife and youngest daughter. I forgot how much I hate going to walmart.

Never had a walmart close enough (was at least 45 min. to the closest one) but just realized they put one in about 10 minutes from me recently, but I think it is only groceries & pharmacy. I'll have to venture there one day and check it (and the people) out I guess?

Sounds like fun PT.. you and Ms PT are such good travelers... I can't even imagine! I have a hard time even leaving home for a short trip by car... I'm afraid I wouldn't make much of a jet setter! :(

Do any of you cook with a pressure cooker? I've never used one before, but one of my customers sent me $100 check for Christmas, and I decided to order an instant pot (at instant pot.com). My vegan sister had one when I was there for Thanksgiving, and she said you can cook beans without soaking them, etc. Read through the reviews on Amazon all 640+ of them  and everyone seems to love the thing. I love bean soups, but am always to lazy to soak beans etc. and getting so tired of canned soup! Excited to try using this thing when I get it, and is also a slow cooker and rice cooker, so can get rid of my 3 crock pots and rice cooker I don't really have room for! :) What I loved the most was hearing you can cook meat from frozen too... I never can remember to take meat out to thaw... so it always ends up freezer burned before I use it! :(

OTD, the dog seems better but still isn't herself. She's also being very stubborn about taking her medicine. She's too smart for my own good. I put her pill in a treat and she bit it in half, ate half, and left the other half with the pill in it on the floor and walked away.

Mixxy I don't have a problem at all with the green color of the drink as long as it tastes decent. I had one this morning with spinach, pear, apple, banana, pineapple, and flax seed. It really tasted good. I made a fruit one yesterday with grapes, mango, pear, and strawberries. That one was really good.

UPS driver that picks up from us is in to juicing. Every day he has a huge jug of green stuff that he drinks on during his route.
All different variety of fruits and veggies along the lines your describing Hitt.
I've had a taste a few times and actually pretty darn good for green sludge!

But I'm with Mixxy by and large, I'll stick with eating my veggies 'stead o drinkin' em (-:

So Hitt, can you just shove the pill down the back of your dogs throat? Her stoopid dawg is no problem taking pills, it'll swallow anything.
The cats are a whole 'nuther story though. They get flea, tick, worm pills once a month.... pry open jaw and shove.
Retrieve bandaids from bathroom and staunch bleeding. Simple!

The recipes that come with the bullet suggest a 50/50 mix of fruit and veggies along with some seeds or nuts . The most common greens on the list are spinach, kale, and spring greens. We picked up some big bags of frozen mango and strawberries last night at aldi. They are about a third of the price I paid at the regular grocery store. I know I don't eat enough fruits and veggies on a regular basis so this is an easy way for me to do that. Also if I were to accidentally lose say 5-7 pounds along the way then that's all the better.

OTD we did have to resort to holding the dogs mouth open and dropping it down her throat. She didn't like it but too bad. It'd be a lot easier if she's just eat the treat.

    Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great Christmas, I enjoyed not being rushed like crazy at the last minute. The facility I work at shutdown from Dec 23 to Jan 1. :):) I did have to go in and check on some peoples days off but only worked 4 hours in one week :D I have managed to keep myself busy enough though. Maybe I can have at least one day out of the remaining 3 as a lazy do absolutely nothing day!
