Congrats on the vacation Wiz. Mine is still about a month away.

I got the handrail and face of my deck stained. That only took about five hours. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the handrail with three horizontals and a million spindles. Now I just have the floor left but ran out of stain.

Thanks guys! I'm so used to my vacations starting on Friday nights and running through the following Monday, that I feel I'm getting ripped off going Sunday through Sunday. Going to try and make the most of it as the weather is calling for isolated t-storms all week. Have three mini-projects to do and may take in a couple movies.

Slow motion would be nice Tibs.........But 8 days will fly by quick!:(

Catch you guys tommorrow..........Basement cleaning day!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. We have been getting quite a few smaller projects done around the casa, and I am planning on removing the living room carpeting to put down something a little more puppy friendly. My boxer is the love of my life at the moment, but she is a little slow on the going outside thing. I have killed 2 high end carpet shampoo machines in a year, and I'm ready to find a more permanent solution. My last child is moving into her first apartment in the next week or two so having her room available to put all the living room furniture in seemed like a sign. I may be getting in over my head, but I intend to have fun doing it. Besides, how could you not love a face like this....

It's amazing how quickly an animal can change everything. She was a last minute addition to the family who quickly became the princess. Our old lab passed away and our other older dog was so depressed she wouldn't even go for a walk. This little girl changed all that. The older dog plays like a puppy again and will actually give me grief if I scold the pup. lol.

Any big plans this weekend, CES?

Afternoon everyone. Good to see you over here again FC.

I was planning on going to get more stain for the deck floor but it started sprinkling a little earlier. Not sure if I should chance it. I saw this Wagner stain applicator online that looks cool and would save my back. I might have to give it a try. I need to go pick up some lawn chemicals too.

Looks like the weekend is coming to a close, hope you got your work finished Hitt.
Maybe for you!:) I have a six-pack of Angry Orchard Cider that say's different! Finally got around to taking a picture of my pool set-up this year. As you can see it's right behind my garage. I have a very small backyard,or I would have a much bigger pool!

Decided to break out the Orion today. A little windy, but the the coals managed to stay hot. Had to re-fill once during the process. Cooked a 6+ lb pork shoulder. Used my own home made rub(Might be cheaper next time to just by pre-mixed),and injected it with Creole Butter. Used a combination of Hickory and Applewood for the smoke.
