...But I bet this one is now a service dog for a disabled person no doubt. He sure is the best I have seen so far as far as abilities!!!
He is amazing!

A FLORIDA BLESSING
Bless this house, oh Lord, we cry.
Please keep it cool in mid-July.
Bless the walls where termites dine,
While ants and roaches march in time.
Bless our yard where spiders pass
Fire ant castles in the grass.
Bless the garage, a home to please
Carpenter beetles, ticks and fleas.
Bless the love bugs, two by two,
The gnats and mosquitoes that feed on you.
Millions of creatures that fly or crawl,
In FLORIDA , Lord, you've put them all!!
But this is home, and here we'll stay,
So thank you Lord, for insect spray.

Pot of Gold
I use to wish upon a rainbow,
To leave the city life behind.
It's colorful trail I would follow,
To a new place I had in mind.
I hoped to find the pot of gold,
In the land I dreamed about.
To leave this life would be so bold,
Now it's time to just get out.
I dreamed about a rugged place,
With the Rockies running through it.
There are valleys with lots of space,
And only rains a little bit.
The Rockies have a strong attraction,
That draws me to them like a magnet.
They're adorned in winter fashion,
With a shroud of cool, white velvet.
In my dream, the valley's wide,
And nestled on the western slope.
Adobe hills are on both sides,
Packed with deer and antelope.
The valley thrives in this climate,
Of lots of sun and little rain.
It also has a river in it,
To help the land to sustain.
I searched the Rocky Mountain states,
North and south, east and west,
Hoping someday I would locate,
That place that led me on this quest.
I found the legend 'Pot of Gold',
I dreamed about so long ago.
My hopes and dreams came true tenfold,
In the land of Colorado.
Hope you like it.

Thank you classwife, Fudgey & CES. Glad you liked it. It was one that I wrote when I lived in CO. Colorado was very inspiring for me, not to mention how peaceful and beautiful it was. Seattle was killing me with all the traffic, people, crime, traffice, (did I mention traffic) and I was the happiest when I lived there.
