My sister-in-law had a Great Dane when her children were little and always told such a cute story about the dog. The kids would go out to play in some little area that was a good distance from the house. When she wanted them to come home, she'd send the dog...he'd grab the shirt of her son and basically drag him home!!

Yeah, it's always good for the bigger breeds to be gentle, lol. I've always loved the Newfoundlands...and they're big, gentle teddy bears.

My grandma had a parrot when my Mom and Uncle were little, it would call their names in G'ma's voice. When they came in to see what G'ma wanted, she would say I didn't call you...but now that you are here...:p

Mike taught our Grandson to get out of the pool from anyplace in the pool, just in case he fell in. Grandson would practice with us by walking around the pool and dramaticly falling in "Oh No! I am falling!" and then fall in. Our dog at the time Tish (yet another white greman shepard), would get upset and dive in after him..then discover she needed both paws to get to the steps. Poor kid would have drowned. Meanwhile he was out of the pool and calling her to the steps.:)
