I was sitting with my dad yesterday at the VA and we were talking about all kinds of stuff. He is a fan of the walking dead series on TV, so we were shooting the breeze about that. Then he brought up a question, I had no answer for.
If zombies are reanimated dead people, and they are basically brought back to "life" with the simplest of motor skills- walking and the need to feed, and they remain trace memories from their past- George Romero, the godfather of all zombies brought this up as the reason the undead flock to the malls- what would a vegetarian zombie eat? It seems that the trace memories of the vegetarians and vegans would play so small role in the reanimation of these dead folk, and their sub conscience or whatever, would tell them to eat plants and trees vs the eating of flesh. Any thoughts?
