yeah I was in Germany when Department of Defense decided that selling cheap cigarettes on military bases was detrimental to soldiers health and encouraged smoking. So they made a rule that the price would be set by the prices in the surrounding market. I'm still wondering who is getting all that additional money they make on cigs. they don't pay it as taxes like civilian stores do. I always assumed it goes into the Morale Welfare and Recreation fund, at least I hope it does. that was the same year that some politicians wife got them to remove adult magazines from military bases. you still can't buy anything worse than playboy on post.

Holy crap! I'd always enjoyed the flavor of coconut (Mounds, Almond Joy, etc) as a snack, but now that I've tried coconut e-juice (Vapors Etc.), I'm hooked!:vapor:

Damned glad I never found any coconut-flavored analogs - that would have made it twice as hard to put them down. When I started with my KR808 yesterday afternoon I had thought I would only want tobacco-flavored juice to replace my analog craving, figuring the other flavors were out of place (like a foo-foo drink to a Jack Daniels drinker) in a cigarette-replacement. Boy was I wrong! Now that I've tried coconut, vanilla and pina colada, big tobacco can keep their tobacco taste! I'm now getting my nic and a dessert in one serving! Should help to keep me from gaining weight, as well, since I'm satisfying my sweet tooth at the same time that I'm satisfying my nic addiction.

I think this is gonna work!! I was skeptical going in, but this looks like the real deal for getting off analogs for good.

Hi there! I am new and have only posted once so far...and then have been spending the rest of my time on here reading, reading, and reading some more! There is SO much information, and as helpful as it is, it is also overwhelming! My head is spinning from all I have learned so far, and I still haven't even gotten my v2cigs package yet, thanks to Fed Ex being just terrible and incompetent! I am excited to get started, so the additional wait time is just excruciating for me. I haven't read very much about v2cigs on here, but I am really hoping that it is just because they are a newer company, and that I will be more than satisfied with my starter kit. As intriguing as some of the other models sound, I really do just want to keep it all basic - no mixing or dripping or anything, but I guess time will tell! I hope that all of us newbies have excellent results with quitting smoking and becoming vapers full time! :)

Darn it! I just ordered my Vapor King last night and I must have missed the coconut! I was actually a bit overwhelmed with all the choices. I'm a clove smoker - impacted by the change in US law which banned flavored cigarettes. Fortunately, it wasn't long before the Djarum clove "cigar" was available but the price is killing me figuratively and the cigars literally, I suppose.

There are 12 of those in a pack now and I smoke about 4 packs a day. I think I'm really just addicted to the hand-to-mouth habit and hoping I can replace that with the Vapor King. I was thrilled they had a clove flavor and I think I got the caramel frapp something or other because that's my favorite coffee drink.

I was confused by the nicotine levels to order so I went with one clove in 8mg, 1 clove in 4mg, and 1 clove in 0mg. I'm hoping to use this to quit smoking. I also got the kit with 2 batteries and bought a 3rd to be safe.

Also wanted to say it was this forum that provided me the information needed to choose a product I could feel pretty confident about without knowing much about the industry as a whole. I found the forum last night while looking up some reviews, watched a view videos and went for it.

Nice to see such a supportive forum available for such a thing!

Nice thread! Ive been vaping for over a week and am becoming increasingly frustrated with the blu (for all the reasons splattered all over the forum). Looking forward to getting some advice on a new E-cig!

Yeah, I started with a blu too. It wasn't bad, but definetly experienced the lack of flavor after a few puffs, inconsistent vapor and throat hit. Batteries weren't so much a concern, since I always had one charging. Got my 510 a few days ago and I'm loving it. Haven't returned the blu, because at least I can use the batteries from that on the 510 without needing adapters or anything and their pcc is exteremely convenient. I haven't ordered a PCC for the 510 yet because there doesn't appear to be one out there that really compares with the blu one :(.

Ugh, since I still need to get some more posts might as well contribute my story. I've been a PAD smoker for about 12 years now. I too have tried several times to quit, nothing as interesting as some of the other posts. But nothing ever seemed to work. I had seen the e-cig advertisements but wasn't sold on the idea until I saw someone at work smoking a blu. Then the curiosity got the better of me and I had to get one the next day. For that two weeks I still smoked analogs, granted I went from a Pack a Day to 3 or 4. I wanted to get completely off the analogs but the blu simply wasn't enough and I had read several other people experience the same and then say they were able to finally quit when they got another device. So after some research I got a 510 and i'm proud to say that it has now been 2 days completely analog free. My wife didn't care for the blu but after trying the 510 I will be ordering her a pretty little pink one today.

estone, I was wavering on nic level when I bought, also. I ended up getting a couple of packages of pre-filled cartos in 18mg and 24mg and several juices in 18mg and some 14mg from various suppliers.

I just got my initial kit, cartos and some of the juices yesterday afternoon and started vaping on one of the pre-filled 18mg cartos and swapping to a 24mg carto. I really couldn't tell any difference in my frequency of craving or my physical reaction between the 18 and 24, so I'm planning to stick with the 18 (lower is better in my opinion since my ultimate goal is to wean myself from nic altogether, eventually). The next batches of juice I buy will be towards the lower end of the scale along with some 0mg.

Also, I think I saw on another thread that you went with auto batteries. I agree with the suggestion another poster offered on that thread - you might want to pick up a manual batt or two. I waffled back and forth on which way to go and finally went with the manual and I'm glad I did. Holding the button down is only a small nuisance, since I'm holding the e-cig anyway (too heavy to just let them dangle from the lips and puff).

Another suggestion if you are near a computer for long periods is to pick up a passthrough (PT). It really makes it nice to use the PT while sitting near the computer and save the batts for when you can't be around the computer. It was definitely money well spent in my case.

Nice thread idea. i feel the same about WAITING for my PV to come in the mail... I was certain mine was going to be in the mailbox today when I got home from my errand running, I was completely excited about it... got home.. NOT THERE.... ugh, and I had it timed out perfectly so I had no more analogs left by the time I got home. Needless to say I had to break down and run back to the store and get another pack. Hopefully my last pack ever tho, good riddance, I say! I can't wait for mine to get here. I'm putting my hopes on monday!!!

Nice idea. Is upping the posts how we get the banner?
My hubby and i have been vaping since Jan 2010. Started early 2009 but fell off the wagon because I couldn't get the hang of how much product to use and where to buy it cheaply enough. Woundup with burned out batteries and no eliquid and started smoking last 1/2 of '09. Just want to say it's a learning curve. Don't get discourgaged. We've dumped the mini cigs and both use vaping devices. Me 905 and him the TW Screwdriver. Both work just great. Long charges and more ecconomical

Oh yea it is a learning curve, agree with that 100%! Welcome to the forum. I ordered the 510 with manual batteries and medium strength, I was sent both type batteries and extra strength high nic strength. My first vape blew me off my desk chair and I was rolling on the floor gagging and coughing like a sick maggot hit with raid! I learned real quick on how to cut the e-juice down using VG.
Take it from me, read read and read, it is worth saving yourself the maggot gag routine!!!
