Just a post to say hello and introduce myself

so yeah, I was watching The Tourist and saw good ol' Jonny toot on an electric ciggy. Being a smoker of about 12.5 grams of baccy every two days (sometimes more, don't know what that equates to in cigarettes) plus growing health concerns with my feet and fingers turning a worrisome shade of blue at the slightest change of temperature, I jumped at the chance to get one (super mini 89mm, that was all the info the site i got it from gave about the model).

Though, my first experience I'm not sure whether to be impressed or disappointed. My first taste was 'ooh' nice(i almost quit there & then)! As time went by the degree of 'niceness' varied considerably, I would get one good hit, then 'mmmm, just right' then nothing and had to wait 20/30 mins for it to work again!

I expect I was unlucky enough to get a crappy atomizer (apparently it happens every now & then), I also read somewhere that if it gets hot it stops working (I hope I can get more than one puff every half hour out of a new one) which I don't quite get, hot is good right?

Anyway, determined, I ordered some cartomizers from the same site and some juice from liberty flights. Got th juice, took about 3/4 days but I'm still waiting for my cartomizers! Since the origional atomizer was bust I pulled it apart (curiosity got the better of me) and now can't smoke it until those carts come through.

I suppose my main questions are:
What are peoples experiences in the UK (and point the way) with e-cigarettes retailers in respects to reliability like good delivery times, customer support, always got stock etc.

Cross compatibility of different models, I don't really want to have to buy another kit just yet.

Being a baccy smoker, cigarettes never really satisfy me taking two cigarettes to get the same satisfaction as one rolley, what gives vapour 'body'? Surely it can't be the nicotine, well hopefully cos I want to reduce it and may even take it out of the mix, I've always wanted to know whether I really enjoy smoking or if it's just the nicotine talking.

Welcome to ecf....congrats on finding ecigs.....Don't know much about the model you are using....can you post a link....And liberty-flights has quality hardware for a lot of differtent models of ecig......When you get frustrated enuff,they have the best prices and offers a decent warrenty.

Welcome to ECF and glad to know The Tourist got you here . The liquid is mostly either propylene glycol (PG)or vegetable glycerin (VG) or a mix of both depending on what you ordered, plus nicotine and flavoring. The vapor is from water particles forming around it as it is heated. It's the same thing that makes fog in the fog machines they use for concerts and haunted houses. A lot of people drop the amount of nic in their juice over time to get off of it completely. I've been vaping for almost 2 years and am still using about the same as when I started because it suits me just right.

I'm in the US so I have no idea about the suppliers in the UK other than hearing that a lot of folks like Liberty Flights. You probably want to buy some liquid to refill your own cartomizers since they can be reused a number of times and it definitely makes it less expensive.

Your super-mini (no matter where you bought it from) isn't going to perform as well as a larger model like a Riva for instance. Battery life on the super-mini's is just too short unless you are a very light smoker.

Well the cartomizers came through sat, was just a little uncertain with not getting an e-mail confirmation which I got when I first brought from them.

Thanks for the sudjestions, I get a little put off by sites that look really bad or everythings out of stock. I think I'll get my flavous direct from flavourart, unflavoured from liberty flights & Electronic cigarettes stop the need to quit smoking – Liberro, Electronic cigarette products stop the need to quit smoking.
