Ditto to the great thoughts of @SupplyDaddy and valid humor by Thunder!.

Respectfully, never!

IMHO, buy the highest quality NIC base available from a trusted and quality vendor. Choose the carrier (PG/VG) of your choice in the base. Cut with quality PG/VG following the same thoughts I have for the base. In all cases, quality trumps price for me. Cut and store in quality glass bottles with a Poly Cap. Shake vigorously the container from the vendor, shake the glass which has your cut base vigorously. Remove from storage as needed and shake vigorously before you use it. Like many here, I have a UC and have never used it with base and don't see the need.

HTH

I know a lot of people use a milk frother for the steeping process so I guess someone could use that and once fully mixed place into glass bottle and then shake as needed.
Thats what I use! I bought one on ebay for 4 or 5 bucks. Works great to mix nic base before DIY and mixing my juice once I make it! Great little device to throw in my kit.

I'm very low tech. A calypso dance CD and a strong grip on the bottle and it's a Beach party in the mixing room, mon!

Haha! That's similar to my method. I shake the holy heck out of my bottles while watching Netflix. It's how I justify time spent watching Trailer Park Boys, instead of washing dishes or doing laundry. Shaking e-juice is a productive activity, right? ;)

I advise against mixing in any liquor bottles while watching Trailer Park Boys. Mr Lahey may just reach right out of the screen and guzzle it!

Welcome to Comedy Central! Love it! :)

I can't post what the guy said to me in the paint department of Home Depot. LOL He was a DIY geek and thought I flew in from another planet. Kinda funny and then at the end I told him I was doing "field research" for my cult. He laughed. Then we talked shop and it was fun.

I saw another post in this thread so humor me while I try and help and wonder a little off topic. BTW, "steeping" to shorten the time a bottle of some juices (flavors + PG/VG + NIC) must sit before it reaches maturity (roughly 3 weeks give or take) is all about HEAT (150 degrees) and NOT, I repeat NOT agitation. In the context of "steeping" you can shake rattle and roll with a forklift or stir it all you want but that does zilch for shortening the time to maturity. The goal in this context is to shorten say 3 weeks to roughly 4 hours in your UC or crock pot. My buddy I think uses a rice cooker or some contraption which also works. And yes Mike, and a bunch of folks on ECF ran blind tests between a UC and crock pot to support the validity and it's in that other giant thread started by I think Bobalix.

Sure you shake a bottle of finished juice to eliminate settling, blend your mix, and to insure nothing has separated but that's not steeping. If you like the mix fresh and see no need to steep as I explained above, just shake the bottle or 50 gallon drum /lol vigoursly and your done. Finito!

Please return to Comedy Central. I'm enjoying it :)

Someone explained in another thread that air plays a crucial role in the steeping process. Vigorous shaking ensures that tiny air bubbles will reach as much of the mixture as possible, thus allowing the flavors to cure more efficiently.
