I was just woundering if I should wait to recharge my ego batteries when they are totally dead or is it ok to charge them when I think they are close to shuting down. It is really not a problem or anything cuz I have back ups. But I work over nights and like to have two fresh ones just in case. All my batteries are 650mah cuz I like the size and they last long enough for my needs. Any input would be great.

What atty said.
I have always heard it is best to let them rest before charging or using after a charge as well, -(as in take em off the charger and let em sit a spell first), don't know if it is true but I have some several months old now and seem to hold the same charge as when new.

It may help since heat is a killer and charging/discharging generates heat. Letting them cool before charging could also help extend the life.

In all honestly you will probably kill the switch or should I say the switch will kill the battery before you kill the batteries on an ego with charging. That seems to be the weakest link. Maybe the new Variable voltage twists are different. A couple of years ago I was on a different forum and including locals I inspected about 50 dead e-go batteries or clones and is was the Mosfet switch each time. The switch itself would either die or it would pop the protection on the battery and it wouldn't come back on.

I would just charge when it's convenient and understand that they are disposable units.
