The one consistent doctrine that spans most religions and belief systems is forgiveness.

This says SOOOOO much! I believe it the hardest thing in this world! I have been shown this time and time again by my beautiful girlfriend (Roman Catholic), and I am a non practicing Jew. Without faith, one could never know how to forgive. Even with faith, it's a monster to tackle. I really enjoy this quote "I am ALL is" forgot where I heard it, but it sticks.
I REALLY enjoyed that Professor story someone posted. All is energy...Prayer is definitely the focus of energy from within to the outside. We should all feel lucky, just to be able to have this conversation as so many cannot, will not, or are not allowed.
Personally, I do not subscribe to Religion, but would feel foolish if not to believe in a higher power. Anyone who feels the the sensation after creating something from nothing, MUST pay homage to something greater then one's self. Anyone who has "properly" made love cannot refute the closeness to "something" you experience. I don't believe in Evil, and I do believe that everything is...well...ALL. Without pain we know no pleasure...without fear we know no calm...man is a simple creature with WAY too much EGO. Nothing exists without balance 50/50. Without atrocity, there would be no greatness. This is the lesson of our time on Earth...Simple, no?! To truly understand, one must experience. I chose music as my form of communication, as words can be way too manipulated. Religion is just the manipulation of words to carry out the interest of certain parties. God, is the word we all use to acknowledge the belief in something other than ourselves. Also, no one mentions the belief in life other than ourselves...same thing as the acknowledgment of a higher power...unproven, but rediculous to think we are the only lifeforms in existence...rather silly I think. Life can be hard, and choices are often much easier in thought than in action, but he who has the power to forgive is the one living closest to God. For if nothing else God is the ultimate teacher and forgiveness is it's ultimate lesson.
I know we have souls, and have experienced some remarkable and unexplainable things in my life. The older we get, and the more life we consume tarnishes are purity. We are only as strong as the company we surround ourselves with, and well...I definitely prefer a Motley Crew...much more perspective.
In closing, God has a wicked
sense of humor. I am incredibly grateful for that, because it's
through the purest of the pure (children or child like) and the sharpest of wit and sarcasm that we get a better
sense of what and why we are. Whenever I forget to breath, I engage deeply with infants and animals (please do not take that grossly out of context). At those points, I seem to regain my bearings...Also, a casual date with Mary Jane doesn't hurt either ; )
