I have done all kinds of stuff here to try and cheapen my vaping which has cost me a bit but I understand investing for the stuff that pays for iis self in the long run. Well i can't get the builds right for the RBA decks or My RDA. With or with out the jigs. I'm going to just sell out and smoke I think It's cheaper actually than juice and equipment and I can always find a light and I roll my own smokes lol. I'm just to that point and the B & M's just suck here .

---
Update lol
Not going right into advanced vaping but trying to be more cost effective as I stated in a few places I walked away and came back to it a few hours later and got all I need to get done done. Watched a few you tube videos and watched a few live builds and just relaxed a bit and went back to it.

Now for the Smoking Break Down

For me to smoke analogs for 2 weeks it costs me $44 so figure $88 a month AT 60+ a day for me and 20 or so for the better half

Now the vaping Break Down If I get cheap Juice I go through a 30 Mil Bottle in close to 2-3 days. so lets make it 60 Mil a week $18 plus for a total of $72 a month The you factor in the coils for the Tanks Which I don't go through as many I replace mine about every 2 weeks so that's $12 for me and then the better half a coils a week if not 2 lol . But we will go with 1 coil a week at $4 for her coils so another $16 . So looking at $100 a month.
'
I'm not going to figure in equipment as I don't have to buy anything else unless I want to
So I'm saving a whole $12 after totaling it all up. I think I'll be okay with that as I had never really broke it down before.

BUT now that I have figured out my coils I'm set and That's going to save as I don't need to make all the fancy wraps. I just need vapor and flavor to curb the smoking.

P.s. Thanks for letting me vent a bit guys and not just scream your just wanting attention I wasn't really looking for attention I was needing ideas on what to do and waiting on the replies and seeing a few replies helped me step back and stop stressing over what I was doing so To all that Replied THANK YOU!

I'm not a master builder like a lot of the folks are here. Mine are fairly simple but pretty, using just a piece of metal tubing and wire. lol. I decided to get a coil winder from fast tech just because. The first few coils were "pancake" coils. Figured I would probably have to give up on it. I watched a few more videos and realized I was pressing the cap down too much. They still weren't coming out right, until I realized I had to remove one of the screws first. Ugh! Finally coming out pretty!

Don't give up! Someone here can help!

Worst sell out excuse ever. Even replacing Kanger .5ohm heads once a week would be cheaper than Smoking.

Cost of Smoking materials
Gas to retrieve materials
Long term health cost

I was rewarded with News I DID NOT NEED yesterday.

Don't give up!

I struggled with building when I first got into it, in fact, I almost went back to smoking myself for the same reasons. The initial investment can be pricey, but in the long run I have saved a few thousand in the past few years!

Can you tell me what your equipment is? What wire are you using? What coil are you trying to build?
Any information about what you are using and how you are using it, is extremely important for us to be able to assist you!

Dude, been there, still struggling with builds. Had yet another huge epic fail last night on a goblin mini, supposedly one of the easiest to achieve builds.

However, the advice to get tanks that take prebuilt coils is spot on. You can still get a fine vape while learning the tricks of rebuilding - or maybe never need to rebuild if it doesn't fit your style or is not to your liking.

I know there is a perception that you aren't much of a vaper if you don't build, but that is horse pucky.

I think few people would be able to switch if you had to jump from cigalikes to building.

Well it boils down to I'm spending a ton on coils and juice. It was actually cheaper for me to smoke and I'm trying to cut that cost down with coils will be DIYing Juice soon.

15ml per day is like Chain smoking 2 packs per day or more.
I Vape on avg. 20ml per day, but DIY - much like RYO.
Cost to Vape, minus Fixed gear.............Penny's per day.

Your life, your choice................................choose wisely.

Well just trying to use simple wraps with 24 ga Kanthal . at a 3mm I got one together on the RDA finally . Was working on one for the TFv4 but it's not reading on the Mod.

The tfv4 is not really a good atty to learn to build on.

3mm is big for the barrel, and will touch the sides if you aren't careful.
Try smaller diameter coils.

Wicking on the TFV is tricky for a beginner.

I would start on a simple RDA.

A good gauge to work with is 30 gauge and 28 gauge when you are learning.
Keep it simple and just do single coils.
