Hey everyone, I'm about to order a Joye 510 kit. I ordered a different e cig but it's carto's only. Anyways, I would like to order everything to keep me satisfied for around 2 months without having to order again, so can you please tell me a list of things I will be needing. First off, right now I smoke around 5 analogs a day, either newport 100's or marb reds, but I plan on totally eliminating them.

What is everything I should order along with the Joye 510 kit for 2 months? including extra attys, cartridges, juice and whatever else I may need. I have no clue how often i need to change cartridges or attys or juice and I've researched for a few days but everything is confusing to me so I'll just trust you guys on what to order.

thanks!

I am new to using my 510 also but I have needed and ultimately ordered - at least one cartomizer for each flavor of juice. I keep the cartomizer with the juice and when I want to change flavors, I swap to 'that flavor' cart.

I like the TastyVapor juice - bottle is good size, so plenty in each bottle.

I recently fried my first cartomizer (button got pushed inside purse). I would recommend that you have one or two extra for "oops" situation.

So-2 batteries, 1 charger, 10 cartomizer, 1 cone (l like the cone my friend skips it) and 4 flavors (preferrable TV or MsTs) (MsTs bottles are smaller but you can try flavors easier).

Recommend the eGo at Tasty Vapor starter kit

However much you order initially I can almost guarantee you will be buying extras after the first week, be it more juice (different flavors yo lol) more atties, bigger batteries, a PT or PCC.
Dont buy all your juice in the same nic strength - and if you CAN buy one ith 0 nic (get it in the same flavor as one the nic juices) so you can 'cut' the nic level down if you need to without losing flavor.
Dont put massive expectations on your PV either - jsut take things slowly and go at your own pace as far as cutting down smoking goes.
And best of luck :)

I have not used the 510 or any E-Cig with a Cartomiser. I have had plenty of experience with separate atomizers and carts. Having the atomizer and cart built together seems like an extra expense :2c: when you want to change flavors or if the poly gets used up. I also do not have to have a separate atomizer for each of my flavors. Just a different cart. Which by the way, the poly filler can be removed discarded and refilled by you cheaply. With poly you find at a pet store (it is the filter material used in fish filters white fluffy poly). Works great and I am not filling landfills with plastic. I started with the Joye 901 and was happy for a few months. But the battery life gets drained within a few hours. I then moved up to the Joye 905 and the battery holds an 18 to 24 hour charge. It is a bit heavier and batteries are internal.
Oh by the way you may see this is my 1st post. This doesn't mean I am a newbie to vaping or the ECF! I started vaping in October of 2009 and am thrilled with not smoking analogs. I just don't post as I am a programmer and a moderator for other non vaping forums and a PC tech. My wife thinks I am at the keyboard to much as it is  (LOL)... Happy Vaping...

I don't really think that swapping out a carto is any more work than swapping out a cart. In addition, it has the added benefit of holding a little bit more which makes it great for leaving the house or even just going longer before refills. In addition, especially as someone new to this, I've had too many flavors that I've been displeased with in my quest to find the perfect juice to want them stuck in my atomizer for any length of time. I think there are a lot of people who finally gave on getting the atomic cinnacide taste out and a lot of the mints and menthols hang around long enough to ruin a favorite flavor.

I don't know whether I'm lazy or OCD, but to me it's much easier for me to grab my fruit carto d'jour or my coffee carto and screw that one when I want just a couple vapes rather than put in a cart, vape a couple, than to have to go clean out the atomizer so I can switch back to my regular vape.

I'm a little confused. How often does one go through attys? (being a smoker of about 5 cigs a day I plan on taking in the same amount of nicotine as that with my e-cig), also, do you need to change out cartridges (mouthpeice as well, right?) ever? Or do you just change out the filler(?). And how often might one have to do that?

I hardly order anything offline so I would like to be more then set for a month or two without having to order anything more...although I probably will.

thank you everyone!

Change the filler when the draw gets heavy (just wash it or get new filler), you dont need to change the mouthpiece all the time just keep it clean; I have abunch of spares floating around as i use mine as mouthpiece for dripping.
Atyy lifespan varies - anything from a few weeks to a few months. Carts though (the thing you put the juice in, which contain filler) - need to refilled as soon as you think it starts tasting 'faint' or 'acrid'. An acrid taste usually means your atty bridge is too dry - atty bridges (the bit of mesh covered doo-dad that sticks up inside the atty) need to be kept moist or they die pretty fast (and make your vaping taste awful).
As for how often YOU will go through a cart - its impossible to say - you wont get the same amount of nic via your PV, or as quickly delivered, as a cigarette delivers. The best advice is to see how you go once you get your unit - I can't really be more specific because I don't know how often you feel you will to use it.
I know youre trying to get an idea to stock up but if i guess it's bound to be wrong so I dont want to give you bad advice lol.

Thanks you for the advice.

I'm just so confused though. So there's a cartridge that has the filler in it, and then is the mouthpeice seperate or is the cartridge itself the moutpeice? Should I buy like ten cartridges then?

Doesn't it get quite expensive having to buy new attys, carts, filler, plus juice? Do you still save money compared to buying analogs, because that's one big reason why I'm wanting to make the switch.

After reading a few other threads I'm not sure I should get the 510 anymore because of battery life, I think I saw you recomended a niva(?) or an eGo. Can all attys and carts fit both the 510, niva, and ego, or will I have to buy specific brands? I'm also looking for something that is thin cylinder shaped such as the 510, is the ego that big? it sounds soo much better

Sorry for so many questions! I'm just really confused on what to buy.

Definitely happy with my Tornado. At 5 cigs a day, that battery is gonna last you 3 or 4 days easy! You aren't gonna go through juice very fast either, so I would recommend smaller sized bottles. 5-10 mil. If you really only plan to use it a little, A couple of 10ml bottles might actually get you through a couple of months. FYI though, don't expect the tobacco flavors to really taste like a cigarette. I haven't found one that does.

You have your battery - lets take the eGo as an example (I have one and its great).
It has 3 pieces. The battery - the largest part, the part that powers your PV.
The atty - the part that vaporziers the juice, which screws into your battery.
The cart - the part that has filler in it that contains the juice - that pushes on to your atty.
All together that = 1 eGo.
Juice is bought seperately although some new kits come with prefilled carts (they have juice in them) but usually the juice quality isnt great. Most people re-fill their own.

Have you read the ECF Library thread ' guide to vaping' by DonDaBoom vape? that might help clarify it - it has pictures and shows you each part with an explanation.
FYI most eGo kits come with 2 complete PV.

To make this simple for you here is a nice kit. Esmoker 510 Travel Kit I bought one of these to add to my collection, I also received 2 15ml bottles of juice in my choice of stenghth and flavor with it. I am very happy with it 3 batteries , 3 atty's, 5 carts (empty) and a case, 30ml's of juice it is nice to be able to store everything including the charger in one case. Since there is 3 of everything I would think it would last for 2 mos maybe get another bottle of juice. One batt seems to last all day they are mega manual (push button) $59.99 not too bad. Hope this helps

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. - but if you buy juice there Id suggest looking at their BASIC range (which is all VG, I like them although generally I prefer a mix of PG/VG) - the joye juices are ok but I find them a little harsh on some flavors.

To be honest I try not to buy juice and hardware at the same place (even though its more shipping costs) because I prefer a juice supplier who specialises in juices like www.tastyvapor.us (not far from you I think) or DIY Flavor Shack by E-Cig Smoke Store. those 2 are MY faves - there are a LOT of other juice suppliers on the forums here who do a great product. :)

I'm so glad you're going with the Ego or Tornado type. I was going to strongly suggest it!
I didn't see one question answered - my best explanation is that 510 refers to the thread size of each part.
Whatever kit you start with, you can get batteries, cartridges, atomizers, etc. that match it. I went from the 510 battery to
the 510 mega battery to a small mod in 3 months. The batteries do eventually wear out after recharging over and over.
It won't happen that soon though since you won't be a heavy vapor.

I have tried a bunch of menthol flavors - been smoking menthol cigs for 20 years - but
never found any that I really enjoyed.
Peppermint and spearmint have given me closer to what I was looking for.

Surprisingly, my all-day vape has become either caramel or toffee. Don't be afraid to try flavors!
Read up on the e-liquid reviews posted on here first. It can help you avoid strange ones. :)
We all have our personal favorites though. I would never recommend chocolate, coffee or vanilla as I haven't found one I
like, while others rave about them. A lot of suppliers sell small sample varieties.
Don't forget to get the coupon codes for discounts! Electronic Cigarette Coupon Code Master List - Electronic Cigarette Forum
And check the supplier section before you buy anything. E Cigarette Suppliers Forum - E-Cigarette Forum
A lot of suppliers only post their sales and discount codes in there.
Good luck - read, read, read posts. :D Enjoy!
