Hey guys I enjoy Custards that have a bright, creamy profile. I have virtually every cream and vanilla flavor from Capella (minus Butter and Butter Cream, and all V1's.) and various things from TFA and FA.

All of my mixes (virtually every recipe online) ends up tasting very down trodden, fatty, and muddy. Very much like an old fashioned cartomizer vanilla. I'm looking for a Custard vape that does not have too thick of flavor or too heavy on the palate.

However, lowering the percentages does not do the trick and only gives a flat VG taste. Do I simply need to invest in V2's, or do you guys have any Custard recipes that are very bright and creamy, and not buttery, thick, and muddy. Sub-Ohm'ing does not agree with the thick rich profiles. I like a very creamy airy feel and flavor like Charlie Noble's Custard.

I find that if I am looking for the lighter custard, I tone down the vanilla to about .5 - 1%, and add whipped cream or FA fresh cream or both at a total of about 3%. I keep the VC v1 at 10%. No carmel or other stuff that makes it heavy. I find that as steep time goes by on a big 400ml batch i start diluting it when it is around 45 days old as it gets a little to thick and rich to me. I will put 5mls of 8mg base and 25 mls of the custard and shake the heck out of it.

I am testing cap vanilla custard v1 versus v2 in a side by side comparison. same recipe same percentages but one has v1 and one has v2. Should be able to report back in about 25 more days. So far the v1 has the delicious custard smell I know and love. v2 is really flat fresh off the mix.

Have you tried adding FA meringue? I find that makes the lighter notes pop in other recipes if done right.

Tried to make a French toast "from scratch" and custard, and somehow, I ended up with a super creamy Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal lol.
A super creamy cinnamon French toast is my idea of heaven! Will you share the recipe (if you still recall it)? Thanks!

I read this entire thread right before BF and bought nearly every flavor mentioned. My first attempt was dismal; I made the mistake of answering the phone as I was mixing. Won't do that again! But I so appreciate the thought that all y'all have put into finding the holy grail.

I was able to find it. Luckily I saved it in eJuice Me Up:

Cinnamon Danish Swirl (CAP) 2%
Cream Fresh (FA) 3%
French Vanilla (TFA) 3%
Malted Milk (TFA) 2%
Marshmallow (CAP) 2%
Sweet Cream (TFA) 4%
Custard (FA) 2%

I picked up CAP VC v.2 from BullCity... Will it end up on the Shelf of No Return? Never tried v1 before.

I recently mixed a couple batches, same recipe except one with v1 and one with v2. The v2 was flat and lacked the fullness of the v1 version. Of course if you are trying to avoid the bad stuff v2 could be something of interest. I agree V1 is awesome, i have about 8 oz of it in my flavor box.

Avoiding the bad stuff was part of the reason I went with v.2 I really can't tolerate a rich, and thick custard vape, it gives me a stomach ache, so maybe this will work better for my needs :) thanks!!

Vienna Cream or Catalan Cream? Mix it up, give them a sniff pick one. You might want to just leave out the M Milk & just everything else.
I agree, I'd try it with Vienna first or just leave it out. It was just something I threw together. Everything can be subbed and/or added/removed.

I'm going to try it first thing in the morning. Sounds wonderful! I'm a steeper -- but I think this isn't going to be easy to leave alone. I'll let y'all know how it turns out.
