over the past couple of days ive had the bad habit of not switching off the master switch to my pv and having the switch fire for a minute to 3 minutes at a time.

now my question is other than partially melting the hot glue, will extended atomizer firing damage my atty?

I couldnt find anything in the search, but i just bought a new atty and have only been using it for a week and dont want to ruin it already

thanks in advance guys

Depending on the type of battery, it will shut off (or not) after 10 or so seconds. eGo and Riva automatically cut off in an extended press. I started with a charged eGo batt in my jeans pocket the other day while cutting grass on a rider mower. After cutting for two hours and only vaping a few times, my 650mah Ego batt was dead. It was the old style that doesn't have a 5 click on-off toggle.

Try some Boge cartos. You throw them away after a week anyway, so it's not a loss if you burn one up... $1.60 each, $8 for a box of 5. They are much better than a cartridge or tank type atty in taste and consistent vapor.

im using a 3.7v box mod, nico stick style
14500 batteries and im constantly vaping
i dont have a timer cut off so if the switch is pressed it constantly fires

i go through about 3-5 ml of juice a day at 34mg

but the past two days i accidentally let the switch fire in my pocket
and i only noticed until my pocket felt unusually hot

it got hot enough for the hot glue to become pliable and my connector would wiggle around

taste wise i let it cool for 20 minutes in the fridge and now i have a slight burnt taste
so i probably did end up ruining it, and i use a madvapes lr 2.0 ohm atty
used to have wonderful flavor with the caramel tobacco, and now it tastes slightly burnt

ill try those cartos that you suggested though, instead of investing in a new atty

Cartos are def the way to go. Since you have a 3.7V PV, I also recommend trying the Ressurector cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping. They are 1.7ohm LR and hold alittle over 2ml of juice so they hold about twice as much juice as the Boges.
CCV sells the Ressurectors and the Boges. They also have free shipping and you get a free syringe with every carto purchase.
If you order a 15-pack of cartos yu get a syringe and a free drip tip.
I use the Ressurectors on an EPower(also 3.7V) and they are awesome. They produce a crazy amount of vapor and give great flavor. Many people feel they produce vapor similar to a dual coil, but their only single coil so they won't drain your battery like a DC. The boges work really well too, but they are regular size and hold about 1ml of juice. That's why I like the Ressurectors bc they hold a lot of juice so you dot have to refill often. I fill 2 in the morning with a syringe and I'm good all day

+1 on all of the above...a dual coil at similar ohms as a single will use as much power as a single, it just splits it between two coils making for a cooler vape..........
