Well, I hadn't -- all I've heard on the news I've managed to overhear from my husband's TV lately was the terrorist attacks in Paris. I might not have even heard about that, except the channel I was watching did a ticker across the bottom of the screen during whatever show I was watching.

All this misinformation and disinformation about vaping in the media has made me hold them in even greater contempt than I already did, and that's really saying something, since I already thought they were stupid airheads hired for their ability to look pretty and read a teleprompter. So I really don't bother with the news at all anymore -- it's either bad news, or total lies, and neither is useful to me.

Can't disagree about the liars in the media. I've learned to sift through the bull over the years I guess.

Looks like after several handoffs within the Ukraine, my Achilles has jumped the puddle and landed in-country.

It's looking up, folks :)
so do we know which US carrier takes the package from here? USPS? USPS.com doesn't recognize the tracking number given...

That I understand, and to a degree agree with. Some of the notables I've seen (although I couldn't now tell you the source):

"...all of the e-cigarette companies are owned by tobacco companies."

"...vapor from e-cigarettes could be at several thousand degrees when it contacts the throats of users." (in all fairness you couldn't blame the media—who merely reported it. The words were actually spoken by a real Einstein of a researcher; can't remember his name).

Invariably, anytime Stanton Glantz or any of his ilk recites the usual bromide that "e-cigarettes may be less harmful than cigarettes, but the research thus far is incomplete or inconclusive," the story quoting the statement will bear this headline: "EXPERT SAYS E-CIGARETTES ARE WORSE THAN THE REAL THING."

That said, the media isn't all about bad news, and you are missing the occasional Boy-Scout-helps-old-lady-cross-the-street story

Heck, I can find plenty of those on weather.com or FB. :D

Found this on weather.com this morning, it's hilarious: http://www.weather.com/safety/auto/video/tiny-car-big-horn

It uses this graphic, and I tried the tracking number with them. They don't recognize it.

The page comes up, but the video doesn't play :(

Hmm.. I just clicked it, and it did play; maybe a temporary glitch? Sometimes their videos are a little flaky in how well they play.

Otherwise, weather.com homepage has it as one of their top (newest) videos; that's how I found it -- I always check weather soon after waking up, to know if it's safe to let my cat outside, and usually check out their newest vids posted.

Ok I found the tracking link on the TM site. It's in the links for delivery. Mine is still in Kiev.
Still in Kiev? Mine was passed between a total of three post offices before being loaded onto an airplane. And I'm sure yours will soon be as well (positive waves and all that rot )
