Achilles RDA

Why don't we move on? There are many other we could choose
- Move on? This is an Achilles rda thread!
- Many others to choose from? Sure. But NONE are just like the Achilles!!! If you find one you think is, then perhaps a side-by-side test comparison would be in order. Testing to be done by someone whose fave rda is the Achilles, other rdas you believe viable alternatives to be supplied by you (or Heaven Gifts).
The gauntlet has been thrown down... DEAL?

There are several criteria to meet.
1) RDA
2) Holds at least 2 ml
3) Never ever leaks. Let me repeat, never ever leaks.
4) Single coil only.
5) MTL only.
6) 3 piece screw together design, no friction fit O ring pieces
7) Very light and compact size.
that is a decent start. Whatcha got?

They may however be SS316 instead of Titanium Alloy.... Atm that might be best potential source anyway. How many of you would be okay with SS316 as a possibility if we can't source TI version?

I would buy a SS model. The light weight of the Ti is nice but it is the design of this atty. that makes it special.

Totally agree. I've yet to figure out exactly what in the design of the Prometey and Achilles make them such standouts on FLAVOR especially, but they are the only attys I use anymore -- have retired all else.
I have an Eviva-T (SS) which is roughly about as small as the Achilles, and the weight different is not horrible. Especially considering there's quite a bit more going on in the Eviva-T. Took me a while to find it in my stash of retired attys, but find it to compare against Achilles I did! (and once again I continue to live up to my OCD moniker
)
Meanwhile, as I wade thru the infuriating storm of crap that is trying to deal with distributors who apparently want to sell things that are "like" the Achilles, or one TI nuts 'n bolts manufacturer who would be willing to manufacture it if we can provide schematics or photos.... And the one vendor so far who claims to have the "real deal" in SS316 but has yet to confirm with a pic of one of them....
Titanium-Mods does currently have the Achilles II in stock for anyone so inclined to go the "genuine article" route.

And finally one distributor claims to have the Titanium clones available AND is willing to send me one for confirmation of quality and that it's really the item we seek.
(it figures, timing is everything, I finally caved in a couple days ago and ordered the real deal authentic from TI-Mods -- oh well -- it is such a great rda it is worth it -- and maybe some good karma point there, eh?

So, looks like I will have a genuine authentic to compare against a new non-authentic likely headed my way any day now.
I will also work on figuring out our logistics and how best to handle "things in general".
Just keeping you all updated since I had disappeared for so long. I've just been too busy to frequent the forum for awhile (or much else either for that matter). Plus, this way, with frequent updates, you get to share all the ups and downs and hopefulness and frustrations right along with me!

Ya know people, I just realized we're still in the HeavenGifts forum with this thread -- obviously we started off here because we were hoping HG might be willing to act on our request. But since they're not, perhaps we should move this thread elsewhere in the forum? Anyone have ideas or suggestions? UNLESS HG is willing to let this thread remain on their turf for now? Achilles II is available from titanium mods right now.
II is a little shorter and I understand has a bit more, or perhaps just different, airflow. It has a rotating ring to close over the one small hole.

Sorry everyone, but no success even for the SS clone. As @tearose50 notes, there's another rda also named Achilles, and it's not remotely similar to the TI Mods Achilles. Can't tell you how many alibaba vendors have been trying to sell me that one (plus all sorts of rdas and mods in general to the point it's beyond ridiculous -- no matter how specific you are in your alibaba needs profile, expect to get spammed if you create an account requesting quotes for anything).
