most order they took was from europe.
whereas asian customers very few.

next my friend been to china a few times
beijing ect provices in china noticed and never saw any china people smoke e cig .instead on real cig.

and happen while he stay there in china , saw a news report on tv stated e cig actually equal harmful to real cig .

sometime I wonder china is the invention of e cig and yet their country people don;t smoke on this .

Is it too expensive for them to own?and especially the older generation in china maybe they didn;t know there is such products in their own country?

about the younger generation , I not sure how many .
but from what my frd told me during his stay in china , he don;t ever spotted any young smokers smoking e cig.

and surprising e cig is popular in europe .

did u all noticed?

Good morning
there are at least 2 parameters for the use of electrocig:
The price of true cigarettes that discourages to continue smoking: how much is a pack of cigarettes in China?
smoker's health: Is there information campaigns on the dangers of cigarette consumption?

In afrika (burkina-faso) no information and low price for real cigarettes

i work with about 6 chinese. some of them smoke and they were very passe when i show them the e-cig. "oh, they have been in china for a while now"..i cant persuade any of them to try it even though one of them is complaining about his lungs and trying to cut down. anytime one of them goes to china, they will bring back cigarettes to sell to them.

that said many of the other nationalities were not too interested in it either. i did persuade a cleaning lady to buy one. she had breast cancer and fears cigarettes will bring it up again but cannot quit the weed.

at a brazilian pary i went to, i had alot of intererst...both boys and girls. ranging from a guy whose father was dying of lung cancer to one chap who complained that is eyes grew bulbus if he did not either use an eye dropper medication or smoke cigarettes. he thinks the e-cig would be a great sloution.

they all asked me if i was sure i wasnt a rep for the company. i told them that i wished i was and had a car full right then. i went through three batteries that night from everyone wanting to test it. those are the occasions that I need the super-mini so it is not as noticeable. i gave out the business cards that one of the suppliers shipped with the device that also doubles as an explanation of the device. im sure they got a hit from some of them. so sellers take note..always ship a ream of cards, word of mouth is the best marketing out there!

It's horribly ironic that a lot of folks in the e-cigarette's country of origin are either ignorant of the benefits, or else too poor to make the switch. Must say it makes me feel a little guilty :(

This little invention has been around for several years now. Not nearly enough is being done to promote it as an alternative to tobacco. On the other hand, I'm so glad that this forum is here to help spread the news. It's a big step in the right direction.

I've spoken to a few of my staffs from China. Some of them have heard of e-Cigs back in China but, from what they said, e-Cig is considered expensive in China and cigarettes are dirt cheap there.

Think about this, if recycled paper cost 10 times more expensive den regular papers, will you switch to using recycled paper to save the trees but end up paying more or will you just not bother?

As for Asian countries, I'm pretty sure e-cigs is coming up in Singapore. Every friend of mine whom i've shown my e-cig asked me to import one for them. I have like so many pending orders right now, Just doesn't have the time to do it.

;)becos ppl find it interesting ,next maybe wanna show off to his/her frd
isn;t it cool?

but since u also from singapore here.
sadly I don;t mean I am a scary cat here .

or don;t encourage more ppl take e cig .is good many ppl know and get it

but problem here in singapore as u know is strict on law.

even my supplier in china always able to bring in pass through sg customs
also mention me before e cig will be consifcated is sg custom find the parcel is e cig .but he is smart know how to handle stated the parcel in order to pass through the custom.

as he also know sg custom is strict .
as we know sg health authority already stated cannot sell locally commerical here .

problem now is hope the big countries like US , ect countries official delcare e cig is safe ,ect with tons of support proofs.

than I believe most countries will follow suit make e cig , e liquid easily avaiable in stores locally just like nicotine patch ..gum.

remb nictoine gum?before nictoine gum approved to be sale in sg
sg already ban chewing gum.

but since US ect major countries offical declare nictoine gum as an aid for smokers to quit smoking , sg follow suit and approved it even chewing gum is ban in sg.

I feel sad and bored of e cig is have to order online and e liquid is hard to bring in .:(

Hi Everyone:

The Chinese still smoke a lot and just about everywhere. Beijing just recently started a smoking ban due to the Olympics and are planning to keep it in effect after the Olympics. You can still smoke in a lot of public places, such as bars and restaurants. But the government wants there to be a percentage of the restaurant dedicated for nonsmokers.

China has the most smokers in the world. They also product one-third of the tobacco market. They have 350,000 million smokers, more so than any other country in the world.

I think since smoking is so prolific in China and that smoking bans have not yet taken place full-fledged, they are not interested in the electronic cigarette yet. Why should they spend that kind of money on a "play" cigarette when they can have the real thing so cheaply. Also, if you are fined for smoking in nondesignated areas, it's a mere $1.50 fine.

You've hit it right on the nose Marian. In China, cigarettes are cheap and the act of giving cigarettes to people is part of the culture. When I'm in China and I go to someone's house, I'm immediately offered some tea and cigarettes.

There isn't much in terms of smoking bans and if at all, they would only affect cities such as Beijing and Shanghai (though I find a permanent smoking ban in either highly unlikely). A lot of people in rural China roll their own tobacco/cigarettes. Frankly, cigarette smoking is pretty low on the list of problems the Chinese government is dealing with.

Devilfish: The e-cigarette may have been invented in China, but that does not mean its marketed heavily there.

Heh...despite common belief, not all of us Chinese act as one. :)
Country full of different people with different needs and preferences just like anywhere else.
