A lot of recipes include some kind of booze, but I think I've read that the dark rum has something in it that reduces atomizer life, and you should use clear booze.

Any coloring in eliquids = impurities that will not burn off completly and coat the atty reducing performance. If you have the mind set that the attys have a finite life going into vaping then you are not at all shocked when they do fail. Yes it will reduce the life, but since I switched to cartomizers at $1.59 a pop I am less concerned about it. BTW I love adding Captin Morgans spiced rum to my mixes hehehe. For those that spend the 5+ dollars for an atty you might want to stick to clearer ejuices thus extending the life of your atty.

I would think the extra alcohol would help in cleaning. I like dark rum and apple, the rum does great at thinning glycerin. I also use vodka as a thinner for glycerin.

I just put 2 and 2 together. the only juice i have that give me a TH is lung juice from nhaler, i just looked at the ingrediants and PGA is a main one. I've been vaping for about a month and i can hardly taste any flavor of juice still. but i got brandy from DIY dawn and its the only juice i have that has a distinct flavor.

I usually supliment vodka 20% for CM spiced rum, I use a straight 20mg VG based nic juice and add 20% CM, so 8ml of 20mg VG nic juice to 2ml CM = 16mg 10ml CM spiced rum juice

I just think that adding rum gives a great taste! It also increases the throat hit for me. I know most of the pre-made flavors lack in the taste department. And at 6v, it really looses the taste. But when using rum or vodka your can really taste the vapor. And yes, it does work great with VG liquids since it really does a good job thinning it out.

I've been in the habit of adding some Bacardi 151 to my VG juice as I've been reducing my nic concentration. The 151 appears to return some of the throat hit that I would otherwise lose by reducing the nicotine.

I notice that too, about the flavors..
Only one I've gotten that was strong was coffee puff juice...
I've found some cool Ideas on this site though, and have ordered myself some 60mg vg, some flavor that's gettin great reviews at: (opps can't post links yet) Google "tasty puff"
and some Splendex! just search this forum for "sweet juice-finally" and you'll find it.

Isn't Goldschlager a kind of schnaps ? If so you cannot use that : sugar !
