There is nothing I need to buy. But it's been over a week since I've hit that place order button and I'm getting the itch. I think it's more exciting waiting on new stuff than actually using it.

I hear you. I am trying to go at least three weeks before buying anything. Even juice. I have enough now and placed an order last week for more so I am well stocked up. Even taking steeping into consideration. This will be the first week of the self imposed three week standoff. Wish us both luck!

Hello, my name is AJ. I am a vaping related shopaholic..

[reply from group] "Hello AJ."

At one point, I realized i had enough juice to last 6-8 months and I knew I had to stop buying stuff. I find it very hard to pass on some of the equipment coming out, and I know I don't need any of it. I have enough equipment to host a vaping party for 8 all using my gear.

So, OP I feel your pain. I really do.

i don't even buy that much stuff but i get the vapeing new stuff gimmes every day.

for example : the new e-roll. this is basically a miniaturized ego c. i hated the c. yet, for some reason. that cute little PVC makes me think the e-roll is "better ".

thank goodness i have enough sense to resist. but still...if not this there will be something else taunting me with false promises of a perfect fantasy world where unicorns vape rainbows (and poop gold)

Whenever a "nubie" first posts, we need to warn them of this evolutionary problem with vaping and keeping up with the "Joneses". Once you see all the really cool Mods, the lowly starter kit looks like a used Kia next to a new Corvette even though it works OK.

I call it "phallic envy"

I just tried to upgrade from cartos to a Mini Vivi Nova 2.5 and it appears that it was a waste of money since I get the dreaded burned taste no matter what I do. Blank cartos, filled with my favorite juice tastes great, but once inside the Mini Nova it tastes terrible. Also I drool over the Caravella and other chrome and brass devices. I love this forum, but it doesn't help with the desire to have more toys.

They never did. It is really addictive, well until you see how much money you have spent on things that are not that essential. But even if we know that, we'll do it anyway. Before I started vaping I was into buying books, now there are so much there isn't enough room in my place to keep them out of the boxes, at least the stuff related to the vaping bug are smaller in proportions :D

I think vaping has turned me into a hoarder ROFL. I have all kinds of stuff, most of it I need to donate or get rid of. Mostly icky juices. I don't even want to THINK about how much money I have spent on vaping, but I can assure you there will be no break even for me. I enjoy vaping wayyy too much to put a price tag on it.

Good luck with your three week self imposed buying freeze

I spent two years telling myself every once in a while I was done buying :D It never lasted very long before I'd be ordering something new

FINALLY after all this time I can honestly say I've lost the itch to buy new stuff. :) There's just nothing new I haven't tried that interest me right now. But I do feel like I need to stay away from some of the vendors threads I used to visit often so I don't get tempted ;) lol. From now until New Years there's always been some great sales so I'm thinking I'm going to have to avoid all the vendor threads and Deals and Steals thread so I don't know what goes on sale or else I'm afraid that itch will come back to visit me :p

It's a very real phenomenon... I encountered it during my samurai sword collecting phase (yes, I know), and now this. I think it's simply that we found something that fascinates us, tickles the pleasure centers in our brains, and is something we want to understand, in all shapes, forms, and fashions. Some outsiders will understand this, many others will not. I don't mind, though. Nothing makes my endorphins pop harder and faster than receiving and then opening vapemail.
