I KNOW you are right but I'd settle for decent!! lol
oh-oh. The *P* word.

I think you have to go for decent here, or you're setting yourself up for disappointment. :)

I just fast-forwarded thru my life and haven't come up with ANYTHING in it, or around it, that meets the *P* criteria. Is there any such thing?

As for better vapes and better juices.......you'd be surprised how many of our vendors got started, simply because they were looking for better juice or better equipment and couldn't find it. So none of us are alone in wanting to *improve* things for ourselves.

After soaking them in everclear all night I get up in the morning to a dry bowl with nasty floaties dried to the bottom of it. YUCK!
I'd much rather take shots of vodka than let my heads soak in it over night.

I'm serious about getting rid of my ViVi Nova dirt cheap. I have the purchase slip from Madvapes, the box it came in, and two totally unused 2.4 ohm heads. I tried to GIVE IT away to a fellow vaper and she gave it back!! Hell, I'll take six bucks for all of it. That'd pay for two replacement cartos. Or a bottle of my favorite juice from Mt. Baker Vapor.

I'm doing my absolute best to bite my tongue and not UNLOAD on how much I think the Vivi Nova is not only covered, but absolutely slathered, in failure sauce.

I went against my better judgement and spent a little over 10 bucks on 3 replacement heads just to give it one more chance. They arrived today. Instant buyer's regret. Just disappointing on every level.

It's funny. VVN fanboys rave and rave and rave. But look at all the threads about how you need to tinker with them, how you need to swish them to get better wick absorption. Coils blacken, dry hits, juice tastes burnt. There are so many VVN threads about how to clean and soak them in vodka, how you need to trim and fluff the wicks. You need to do this, you need to do that. And the main thing they like to claim? "Fill and forget!"

......Are you serious? Really? Fill and forget?

Here is fill and forget:

I have a 2.0 ohm replacement carto for my carto tank. The flanged kind with the hole.
I take my juice. I tilt the carto and drip 20 drops into the filler, going N E S W.
I take the carto, and I slide it into my tank.
I then fill the tank with juice.
I screw it onto my device.
No dry hits. No swishing. No having to clean wicks or soak things in vodka overnight. No leaking issues. No nothing.

There, I said it.
DONE!

Honestly, I have a Visision ViVi Nova with the box and 2 unused 2.4 ohm replacement heads I'd be MOOOOOOOOORE than willing to sell to someone here, for like, super cheap. Or maybe trade me some smoktech 2.0 ohm replacement cartos for my carto tanks.

:party::headbang::thumb::rickroll:

and a big round of applause!

Kiwi the new heads are great but cleaned ones not so much. I tried dry burning today and saw it smoking but I can't even see the coils much less that they are glowing like the video. If I had an endless supply of new heads I'd be ok with it but having to replace them on the daily does not make hubs a happy guy and it's frustrating the heck out of me!!
I'm sorry the vivi novas haven't worked out for you. They have really worked well for me - literally fill and forget. A quick head clean dryburn, fill and that's been it.
I hope the carto tank works better.

I know Bat uses dark juices and 100% VG and if I remember correctly he doesn't have any issues with the carto. I know I bought a DT carto with my Zmax and HATED it, everything tasted burnt and disgusting.
I've used dark juices but nothing thicker than 80/20 pg/vg, and I've had zero issues. 50/50 may be too thick for the carto filler.

Ah - not that it matters if you are going to ditch the vivi anyway, but that is probably why the heads aren't giving a decent vape after cleaning. The smoke is the crud burning off. I repeat the dry burn until the coils glow. So I dryburn 5-6 seconds, and I usually blow onto the coil while doing it. Then rest it about 5 seconds, then repeat. I do it at 3.8 volts until no smoke and coils glow.

I haven't changed the wicks or cut anything etc. I haven't needed to.

I remember you saying previously you didn't like cartomizers. Maybe now you'll find them easier to use. I always have a bunch of cartomizers handy and find them ok. Vaping is a bit more work than smoking. If you can find the combo you like it becomes a lot less work though - so good luck with it.

Thanks Kiwi, You are correct, I do NOT and neither does hubs like the DC carto's, they pretty much sucked! I am going to attempt to dry burn again tomorrow because regardless it takes a bit to get an order once it's placed and I still have to talk hubs into letting me spend more money if I can't get this dry burning thing down. Question about dry burning...... do the heads (wicks) need to be wet? It was this morning but do I need to re-wet the ones I already soaked and rinsed before dry burning? The ones in the video were wet that's why I am not sure.
