Ok, I need some advice here on addy selection I know this is like the 1000000'th post on this subject here but I have a few questions that were not asked in previous posts. Currently I'm using my Rubicon VV /wmeter RubiconMods - Fine hand made mods made 1 at a time! with Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml . I prefer around 4.2~ volts with this tank(oh btw 0 leaks/cracks etc, nice tank good flow even with 100VG) that puts me at 11w give or take. I dont mind going to around 10.3, but due to liking the 50/50 juice I don't get the TH I like below 10. I'm looking for something that can get me there so I need ~1.3ohms. I just see the convenience of an addy with this mod much more attractive than a carto, they just taste bad after 10 days depending on how much I use them and they suck to clean. Even after you clean them they still dont return an untainted flavor.

What quality addys can put me there? I have seen a few that are 1.25ohms but needless to say I weary of smoke tech products. I need to purchase addys soon, as I'm running low on good carto's and the only one's I have at the moment are 2ohm so even if I wasn't waiting on replacement springs I wouldn't be getting the vape I prefer on the reo.

thanks

oh just to add, I'm getting annoyed at carry thing this mod around it's big, bulky and somewhat delicate but the vapor production on it is astounding and it's rock solid electrically. I would prefer just to use it while I'm at home, I need something tougher/convenient for work etc.

Anyone tried these? New COV Dual Coil Atomizer 1.5 ohm

I'm thinking I'll just go with DC 1.5, I tried my 1.6 tank on the reo and it wasn't bad, maybe I'll get used to it.

Those are pretty good atomizers. They do get tremendously hot after a few hits. Also, they flood very easily. So, you have to be careful about that. Another problem is the top coil tends to die fairly quickly. So, your only left with one coil which wouldn't be to bad if I didn't pay for a dual coil atomizer. Overall, it's a love and hate relationship with these.

The good thing is that they will handle 3.7-6V very well and do perform great for a little bit before that happens. I found that the DCC don't give good performance unless they are used at 4.2V and higher. Anything less and the vapor production and TH are sub-par compared to other cartos that I've used. One issue is that they tend to burn quicker then others and have a tighter draw. Just some things to know before you make your decision.

Another Question bridge or no bridge? Whats the point of a bridge with bottom feeding? dont see one.

The bridge helps retain some juice so that it can be fed into the coil/wick area. Without the bridge then the atty won't be able to do that and you have to feed it more frequently. Which also means that it is easier to flood too. So, IMO leaving the bridge intact is better then it not being taken out.

Unless your dripping then you will not gain the benefits of owning a bridge-less atomizer.

grabbed 2 of these IKV 510 XLR Atomizer 1.5, I'll give them a shot. Gonna get a cov dual coil and a cisco 1.5, bah shipping is killing me here lol.

Those are some really good atties. Got a few myself and really impressed with their performance so far. Now, how many amps does your VV chip have? For example, 2.5 or 3 amps. I'm asking this because if you have a 2.5 amp chip then it probably won't allow you to use this combo at 4.2V since it's drawing 2.8 amps of power and produces 11.76 watts. If you have a 3 amp chip in your VV mod then it will allow you to do this but, it would still be a good idea to be careful with this set-up.

I've been wondering how good these new AVA Atty's really are = Alpha Electronic Cigarettes Atomizers & Drip Tips

Apex Vapor Low Resistance Atomizer: Your source for the best electronic cigarettes / personal vaporizers in the world.

If anyone has tried these please report back, not for nothing but $50 per Atty is some great marketing 101, no matter how good they are they can cost but $5 to make to the moon.

LOL, I'll agree with that. $50 for a single atty is ridiculous. Even if it does have an adjustable air flow tip. Also wonder if they are worth the price. Thought the HH357 was expensive until I saw these. They better last for a couple years for that price. Have heard some people mention it but, didn't have any specifics as to the performance or maintenance.
