Charlie58 explains how to do it - that drip tip thing pops out of the bottle. Here's an edited down version of my video on refilling with the syring, a 32 gauge needle is way to small. Use the syringe to suck the over flow back out, hold a tissue or use a plug on the connection end and plunge slowly:

Katz, like many great things in life, some practice and adjustment yield dividends. I'm the laziest guy in The Family, but even I can refill with a syringe with virtually no spills, no ......, and no fuss. Follow the advice here--that's what I did. But starting with an 18 bevel needle (14 or 16 for VG) is the first requirement for smooth success. YMMV. Good luck!

For super thick juices or if you worry about getting drip cap replaced on juice bottle...here's a quick tip :) Remove the plunger from the syringe and insert empty syringe into the cart...don't worry, it will stay in place :) Drip LESS than you think you need into the empty syringe and replace plunger :) The plunger "rides" a bubble of air, forcing the juice into the cart with no force required :) Use less juice because it's filling the needle at the same time :) If needed, drip a few drops after spinning juice...which I always do to ensure an even fill of the carto :) This way no pressure is needed to plunge the juice and no concern about knocking juice bottle and syringe over when trying to fill it :)

Good thinking Kanza. Gosh I feel a clutz!!!

Anyways, latest V4L delivery brought a bottle of Nuport juice - my favourite. Nearly out of prefills. This means another attempt at filling/refilling. Fortunately my 18 gauge needles also arrived today, so I am prepared this time. Why do I always have to check how sharp the needle is by touching with my finger? Note to self: sharp enough to pierce the skin.

Much better today!!!
With the correct needle, it was so much easier. I filled 20 cartos without much drama or mess :2cool:

Still feel a bit clutzy drawing the juice into the syringe, but it went okay. I haven't tried any to see how they are, just relieved the filling process went well.

Thanks everyone!

Now who would you rather trust? A dragon or a sweet little old gramva lady?

LOL! I'll stick my two pence in here then, and let's see what gramva has to say about you talking to a DEAD GUY! hehehe
once you get the right sized needles it will get A LOT easier - I tried the drip method and wound up wasting a lot more than I did with a needle (I have my 'wasted drop count' to less than 2 on average). I also save a lot of time... (course, I was filling 10-15 carts at a crack, so pausing between drippings to allow juice to settle took a long time) in the time it took me to drip all those carts - I can now:
get all the stuff together,
put a paper towel down (one as opposed to 3),
get my "I'm blind as a bat and need the SUNLAMP to see what I'm doing" out and plugged in,
take all the condoms and white tips off,
FILL everything,
put it all away and clean up...
But, as Snowdragon says - look at all the options and do what feels right for you (EXCEPT for the condom fill method - WAY too messy and wasteful! even as a relative noob - I still can't find anything good to say about THAT one! it didn't even look right as I watched the vid!)

Glad to hear it worked out! I went thru the same feeling of clutziness, but that will pass in time - you'll be acting like Dr. Welby in NO time (WoW! dated myself AGAIN!) just keep the patience and it will become second nature!

Marcus Welby?!!! MD????!!!!! Well, I do dimly remember...

Anyways, sorry to turn this into Katz's Blog Thread, but I have to tell you how things turned out. Results were similar in some ways, to my Wowboy Peppermint experiment in that the Wow carts with the wow juice seemed overpoweringly (too many syllables Gramva?) peppermint, but the cool carts were pretty well just right. Interesting.

Haven't had the courage to try my refills of used prefills yet. Maybe tomorrow. Does the flavour sort of quieten down once the carts have rested for a day or two? Or 10?

Nope.....it may even have the opposite effect the longer it sits as water starts to dissipate from the juice. Steeping brings flavors out and with a strong flavor like Peppermint you it will remain unchanged.

Go try your refill and used prefills..............As for waiting after refilling, I wait...........a whole 5 seconds before vaping with them.

When you using a Syringe just 2 thing to note:

1. always keep a small glass water handy to flush your syringe after use
2. some bevel needles my have a small tang on the back of the bevel at the tip. Simply run a nail file over it for removal or it will catch and snag the polyfill fibers.

Good luck katz, glad to hear the syringe worked out for you.

So... Katz - how did it turn out?!?!

Good, actually. Last night I vaped a WHITE Cool Cart blank filled with Nuport, and was amazed how long it lasted. Today I tried a refilled prefill wow cart, and was again amazed how long it lasted. I did have to blow some juice out (sorry for my wanton wastage Snow, but it was easier than getting the gear out again, and strangely satisfying...).

I started the day with a Nuport Wow Prefill, but found the flavour rather disappointing after the juice, so that problem is solved.

Maybe I'll get used to this after all :p

YAY KATZ!!!!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Juice!!!! It is amazing how very different it does taste...and there is a difference in the taste of juice between the wow and cool carts. I have a few flavors that just don't do well at higher temps so they go in the cool carts....and there are a few that taste better at higher temps....so...yep the wows it is! So proud of you Girl!!!

glad you got it worked out. After i found out how much longer my carto's last between refills, i'm sworn in on the syringe filling. Dripping in would give me a carto that lasted maybe 4 hours at most. Syringe filling means i can vape on it for 12+ hours without needing to swap out the carto (this isn't constant vaping for that time). The less i have to refill/top off the better i think. As now i know i can take one carto out with me and not need to change it all day.

Thanks guys! Couldn't do it without all the expert advice & support I'm getting.

Still trying to work out the cool v wow cart thing. I have consistently preferred wow carts and think I still do. The new diamond batteries seem to work better with cool carts than the bargain bin autos, but I still find the draw harder (and noisier). As I'm using wow juice, I don't think it's going to matter if I stick with wow. Interestingly, the wow cart prefill refills don't seem to be getting as hot as they did originally - perhaps because they have more juice in them? But they also aren't developing that burnt taste so much, and I can tell when performance starts to drop.

I have to be honest...I use all juices in coolcarts...and the only difference I notice, I don't cough and hack with the coolcarts like I do with the WOW :p What amazes me...all the carts and juices and types and flavors and nicotine levels that V4L produces :) Gotta agree with Keelala...I'm a multi (nicotine) level - juice (all varieties) junkie - so long as it is in a coolcart :)
