Adult signature starting at Lightining Vapes

Got this e-mail from Lighting Vapes. It has begun.
"Adult Signature to be required on e-liquid & coil head orders soon.
Within the next few weeks, we will be requiring adult signatures on any orders containing e-liquid, coil heads, the 521 Tab, and any other products we sell with nicotine, or which could be used out of the box to deliver nicotine. This does not include wire, batteries, basic tools, or wicking material. What an adult signature means is that a person 21 years or older with government issued photo ID present will be required to sign for the package upon delivery."

I expect to see more of this in our near future. And even worse. I feel horrible for all the potential new vapers that are going to be stuck on cigarettes because of the dunderheads in charge.

I personally don't have an issue with requiring an adult signature upon delivery. I think if the industry had done things like this early on in an attempt on self regulation, things wouldn't look so bleak now.

Be happy. At least they haven't mentioned a $6+ surcharge like MadVapes charges for shipments to TX where adult signature is "supposed to be" required.

To be honest, I wish that all of my packages would require a signature, not just vaping supplies.

Far too often, packages that I order are just left downstairs in a lobby, for anybody to snatch.

It would give me more peace of mind, if everything required a signature, as long as the shipping costs remained the same and didn't cost more.

I believe I read that USPS charges $0.75 for a signature at delivery.
I would consider a $6 surcharge as excessive, and avoid that supplier.

I think it is patently obvious the FDA is determined to destroy the open system vaping market and there is nothing anyone could have done to stop them.

The deeming is not about the kids. It's about destroying an entire vibrant industry.

Do note it says:

The USPS maintains a record of delivery (including the recipient’s signature) for two years.

So what information they are going to record - and then store... could be "interesting." I'm not thrilled with the idea of someone saving a copy of my signature for two years for unspecified reasons.

And from what I read the cost for this service is $5.70 - not 75 cents.

One of the online vape shops located in TX I buy from has been requiring buyers to sign a legal document stating you are of legal age and use a confirmed credit card in your name to make online purchases from them no matter what you are buying. Just like any restricted adult only product, things like this or adult signature with photo ID upon delivery or photo IDs for face to face purchases, is pretty much the norm.

And driving Postal workers crazy with this crap. Just what we need - another reason for a Postal employee to go... Postal.

Hell, where I am even when signature is required they don't bother. Wonder what the recipient is actually getting on their end for those "signature required" deliveries?

Nothing new...I've had to sign for Fasttech packages before back when I still tried getting juice through all the postal nonsense.
