(I have no idea why the paragraphs disappeared.. I tried to edit it three times but it's still one long tldr. Sorry.) Hey all, New vaper currently on a DSE-901 manual, looking to move to something with more punch. No, the *most* punch. I don't want to have to buy 10 different PVs to find something strong enough. Simple enough question, opinions sought.. (beware, TLDR zone ahead..) I'll probably get a few auto 901 batts for hands-free while working, but for normal use I need something better than the 901. Battery life isn't a big drama, nor is size. Price and vapour are the two key issues. Carts are fine, I don't need a tank (and the tanks seem to have wicking issues anyway) I'm on 18mg liquids atm, but will move to 20-30mg shortly either premix or DIY. As there doesn't seem to be much consensus on 510 vs 901, I might as well stick to 901 attys and carts unless I find out otherwise. I'd like to stay with a standard model like 510/901, not something obscure which makes supplies rare/expensive. Don't like the idea of cartomizers really either. Since cost is a real issue atm I can't just buy a new model to try every week.. I hope to nail down a solution that I can order in one hit (saving postage) and be set with everything I need. I've been using East Mall and are happy with them but am open to suggestions. I'm located in Australia so stuff available from Chinese/Aussie shops is preferred. The issue is the 901 isn't giving me the quantity nor heat in the vapor. It's not my technique, I've had it long enough to have tried everything -the only two methods that deliver anywhere near the feel I'm after is mouth-to-throat-to-nose puffing and long, direct lung sucking. I'm preheating ofc. I want the PV to give me a real gobful when I take a mouth draw, something that I can taste as well as feel in the lung when it's drawn down. More like an analog I spose. It's possible that an LR901 atty will help, though it means even shorter battery life and a hit on life cycles. A Riva 901 would help life somewhat but I don't like being tied to custom batteries. I'd like an 18xxx-based battery. A big question is LV or HV. I was keen on an EM Indulgence, but someone did an analysis of them and found a few ohms of internal resistance .. Which left me back at square one. Two reasons that it seems to me that LV isn't going to deliver as much as a HV... -The internal resistance of the batt/switch/connector is both limiting the amperage of an LV coil -I'd imagine a HV atty has a longer coil thereby giving more "burn area" (might be wrong here) But the market seems to favour LV so I just dunno. Another variable is Regulated vs Unregulated batteries.. There's no concise guide to what model batts are/aren't, and it seems to be a tradeoff anyway. Unregs start off strong but fade, while regs are consistently weaker. Hope someone can give me a solid direction here.. I've got analysis paralysis :) Cheers Ben

whoa.. that's a mouthful OP.
should i cut to the chase? If you're serious about vaping (like does it take the place of smoking?) then pass jail and go directly to a regulated power VV device. You get the most out of whatever atty you have 1. because you can adjust the voltage. 2. these types provide consistent voltage with no drop off as batt charge diminishes.
Price: from plastic reg/VV box like Krimson Kustoms etc (evercool chip is great because it doesn't get hot) to Provari, and all in between.

A good choice would be to go to notcigs.com and pick up an Infinity Pro for $100. You can get it in 901 (my favorite "conventional" atty) cap. You will not regret it. Every vape will be like the best vape you could possibly get, and we're talking many hours between charges.

Now that i think about it, i'll mention that the Infinity is smaller than the Buzz Pro, which is a tad heftier, but same wallop with same internal tech as the infinity.

If you are really into saving money, then go with the plastic box VV's with regulated power like the aformentioned KK or even Madvapes has some too...
I have a feeling you want to go for the gusto without big outlay for the higher end ones.

Yeah mate I dunno why it blocked up the text like that. Sure am keen on vaping, the 901 has replaced analogs for two days now but only just.. Need something with more bite to keep off analogs tho. Yep, I want to skip the board, jail and get my $200 :) So the rough entry cost of a VV like you mention is bout US$100? Spot on, I'm after the best bang for buck in the vapor-quantity department :)

yeah, many men like the infinity too, but the buzz pro is a bit more masculine (and it will hold a tank without tipping over.
Whereas the box VV from madvapes is pretty macho too for less $$.
I'm just saying that because if you look, the infinity is much thinner and takes a thinner batts. (but have the same internals).

How about E-power

It looks like Ego and Riva but is a bit larger and takes standard industrial protected lithium ion batteries. And it's 510-threaded. I think they are made in China you should be able to order one. And I think Bogetech may also sell a mod (mod being a 3.7v or high ecig that uses standard removable industrial protected Lithium ion batteries).

510 threading uses 510 and 306 stuff.
You can get an adapter 510 to 901
You should also get a shorty 510 extension in case the throat of the mod is a bit deep for some attachments

Good suggestion. Here is where you can get one:

e-Power

Variable volt is also a good suggestion. The two best are the power regulated Darwin and the variable volt Provari. They are pricy but top of the line.

From the feedback I've had (which has been great!), I'm leaning towards the Provari.
Exxy, yes.. (bout $250 for the complete kit-out!!) but if it's going to meet my needs, then that's what I'll get. Even if I gotta save the cash up, I don't want to get something that leaves me unsatisfied.
I'm a bit fussy, see :)
I'll have a look at the Darwin, Vapage Vmod and Epower though, the Provari's LCD, tidy aethetics etc seems overkill.. and if I can get the same performance for less cost I'm keen.
Only issue is finding something that doesn't cost a mint to get shipped to AU.

Anyhow looks like I've got some leads. Thanks for the tips fellas!
