Advice for a recently started vaper who wants to upgrade.

Right then, I have been vaping for a week and have not touched a cigarette since starting.

I have started my vaping with a Titan 510 starter kit whch is a very nice efficient piece of kit apart from battery life.
I have discovered I like the vapour the 510 produces especially with VG rich juice, I am also experimenting with flavours at the moment.
I also really like the Royal Smokers CE2r4 Clearomizers an think they are much better than other cartomisers and carts, especially the ability to see how much juice is left so easily.

Now I am going to save (I am on a very tight budget due to having long term illness) for an upgrade to something with better battery life and it seems to me the easiest method is the Ego or Riva systems since they are very much like the 510 and indeed can use similar accessories.

The question really is what are the pros and cons of each system and are there other reasonably priced kits out there that are similar in taste and output to a 510 (no expensive custom modded kit required) ?

I leave it to the more experienced amongst you to advise me in a logical manner bereft of personal preferences, just based on specifications and costs.

I will say the Riva or Ego with the new Giantomizers would seem a good way to go but the costs are high and it may be a while before suppliers offer basic starter kits with these E cigs and giantomizer packaged together, so I may have to stick with normal clearomizers to begin with (especially if anyone does a starter kit with them.

I am in the UK so I would only really want purchasing advice based on that since I don't want to be waiting around for overseas costs and shipping times.
Any pertinent information on pros and cons of the different systems is really what I need.
I will also say I have only really dealt with Cloud9Vaping and Liberty Flights so far since I am a noob and don't want anything too complex.

Have you considered a Mod that uses 14500 or 18650 Batts?
I have saved money since switching to a mod.
I have used a few box mods... and I did invest in puresmoker's icon... I am sure something similar exists in the UK.

Not complex... a Mod that uses 14500 batts. Get the mod, batts, charger and you are good to go.

I would put some faith in some mods because they are a very great step in the vaping world. Absolutely love my Reo and I know i'm going to love the Provari when i get it in the mail. When you need a little more bang for your buck it's the way to go.

you could get a passthru fairly cheap, one without a inline battery would be good. Mod, ego, riva, all good to chose from. The ce2's I'm using are lasting months. Tried the tank, just didn't work for me. Just now starting to test the clear ce2's, no problems for the 1st two weeks- easy filling and now I don't burn the wicks because of low juice levels.

Just sending a passthrough back as it happens as it appears to be faulty - will run off my PC but not off a 2000mA 5V USB mains adapter, very annoying.
A passthrough doesn't help when I'm out and about though and I know from current trends I would need many standard 510 batteries to last a long day out.
The CE2R4 clearomizers are fantastic in my noob opinion - so hassle free and you see your juice - glad a friend put me onto them.

Well, I use an eGo (slightly more expensive than Riva) but pretty much the same thing. It's a beast, really. I vape pretty heavily and I can make a battery last throughout most of the day. I have 3 batteries that me and my fiancee share. One is charged for back up and when one of us needs it we put our dead on the charger and grab the back up. So far, this has been working great!

I have on the other hand been very interested in MOD's and if money were good enough, I'd probably invest in a Provari Variable Voltage BEAST! But that's for another time. Don't immediately dismiss MODs mererly on their physical appearance, you'll soon come to find that you don't need the cigarette look anymore (plus, if you're looking for battery power, you won't be able to keep that analog fashion for long) Definitely worth looking into MODs if nothing else, check out the eGo. Hasn't failed me yet!

Ahh you have not seen Tango's Icon then

But the icon is not as cheap up front as a Riva kit that is for sure, I have used both the Ego and Riva they are very similar I prefer the button on the Ego to the Riva but that is a personal preference (they are after all almost the same one is just softer than the other)

I agree the Puresmoker devices look fine, but then as I said way back at the start of the thread I am on a very tight budget and their gear is very expensive.

Since you are in the UK, Liberty Flights is a good place to obtain a Riva 510 for a good price. You can share batteries, but I'd order one or two extra just in case you both need a bat at the same time and have to wait for charging. At the price LF is advertising on their site, you could buy two lite bundle kits for just a little more than the price of one kit and two extra batts. Plus, you'd get an extra charger and two atomizers with a cone. The extra charger will be a necessity, anyway.

Ego and Riva are basically the same things (Riva is a clone of the ego). They are also basically the same as the 510 you have now, just with bigger batteries (all the parts you have now will work).

If you're at the computer a lot, look at the Ego USB battery. It has a USB connection at the bottom so you can charge and vape at the same time.

I really don't know how heavy her vaping has been? LoL! We have slightly different sleeping schedules, and we're both really busy at different times so I don't see her vaping too much. I guess I can gauge it by how much of the bottle she's vaped so far, but that would be inaccurate due to my vaping out of it as well.

Well, I can speak for myself anyways. I vape alot! When I am at the computer (like now) I tend to mindlessly chain vape. When I am running to the store or something that I know won't take more than an hour or so, I don't even bring it with me. My need for nicotine is way less severe than when I was smoking. I don't feel the need to keep it with me for habitual sake either which amazed me the first 2-3 times I left the house without it (as a smoker, I'd bring my analogs with me everywhere I went, no matter how long or short of time) And then! I take my pv with me to school and I vape in the bathroom during breaks and sometimes in the classroom if I am the first one there (no one can smell it anyways, no harm no foul!) So, I guess I vape alot at home, a little at school, and not at all when I am doing small errands. Though, I am home most of the day, everyday, so I believe I vape alot.

Thanks so much for the info. I don't want to lead anyone astray or help them to fail in any way whatsoever. I'm talking to more people all the time about vaping, so feedback is Greatly appreciated. Well I've settled on getting and have in fact ordered 2 Riva XL batteries and a fast charger since this will be compatible with what kit I already own and some more CE2r4 XL clearomizers since I like them.

Next step would be to save for giantomizers as they look like fun !

I totally agree with DaveP and JoeyS, that the Riva 510 would be a great way to go, especially with Liberty Flights being in the UK as well. Up to you on going with the 510 atomizer or the Carto with the Riva, but with their selection and prices you could try both. If you choose to use an atomizer, definitely go with the LR (low resistance) 510. Makes a big difference in vapor and flavor, in my opinion...
