Advice for first time coil builder.

Hi, I Am interested in buying the kayfun Lite Plus and basically wondering what I Would need for my current vaping device, I’ve been vaping for approx Eight years but not built any atomisers before, I Usually direct drip or use CE3 Clearomizers, My set up is:-

SCREWDRIVER Mk 2 & 3 using a 3.7 volt 900Mah 18350 battery, I only use CE3 Clearomizers which are 2.4-2.6 Ohms. And they are great but looking to build my own Attys.

Question 1. What Ohms should I Aim for [I Will be using the above setup ie SCREWDRIVER Mk 2 & 3 using a 3.7 volt 900Mah 18350 battery,

Question 2. RESISTANCE WIRE, any recommendations? Ive seen Kanthal mentioned a few times is Kanthal A1 AWG32 (0.20320mm) - Approx 46Ω Ok ?, if so approx how many times/wraps would be needed around the wick ? [Ive seen mentioned wrapping around a 2.5 ml drill bit, any good ?]

Question 3. WICK, any recommendations? again heard about Ekowool silica wick [2mm] or New Cotton Bacon V2.0

Question 4. Battery & Atomiser Tester, I don’t have one but obviously need one, Any recommendations?

use 30 or 28 gauge kanthal a1

if you are used to dripping already, maybe you should get an rda instead of looking at the kayfun types.

i'd sooner look at the subtank before a kayfun nowadays.

for coil building use the steam engine coil calculator

It would suit you well to buy a I stick ( I recommend the 50 watt with 4400 mah )
This will let you read your coil builds ( ohms )
As for the Kanthal, if your looking for 1.5 to 3.0 ohm builds go with 28 - 32ga.
If your going to get into Sub ohms, get 22 - 26ga.
Order some square sheets of cotton for wicking.

THEN
Go to youTube and watch hours of videos on all you want to learn.

You might want to play around with this Coil Calculator a little before Decide on anything...

Great for doing "What If" Scenarios.

BTW - I would Recommend that you try either Muji or Ka-gen-do (sp?) Organic Cotton Pads if you are New to Coil Building.

I think they are about the Easiest to work with. And have Very Good Performance.

as long as you have a regulated device, make a coil, screw up and learn. That's all there is too it.
