That's exactly what I am looking for Tonyorion, an at home vape to sort of test my DIY juices on and to have some control over variable voltage to some degree so that I am not yanking on my tiny BLU or my Tornado like a pervert in the park.

When I am out I use something less "HUGE". But at home it doesn't cut it. And cartomizers just chap my ..... I really can't stand the flavor. Likely because I brew 100% vg. Those juices can be duller to begin with, then add the cartomizer to it and its an out right stale fest to me. So I am going to check out vapemate and see what's up there. I just have to have a tank... I am a snob... I admit it. tank or go broke.

Why would that be, flavors of juice cracking a tank? Good information, thank you for sharing.
because the natural oil in the juice reacts with the polycarbonate and dries it out...then stress cracks form..... only happens with certain juices.....

provari for the price and what it does can not be beat .....as far as juice systems go....if you want the ultimate that you will never have to replace.. a bit pricey..costs more than most mods.. is the odysseus from imeo.... the GG... at Clouds of Vapor..its outta stock now but will be back in a few weeks.... rebuildable genisis type atty with a juice tank...

1. There are no "cons" that immediately come to mind resultant of purchasing a Provari.
2. I once hated cartomizers too (I used them exclusively for a year before switching to cisco 306s and noticed a huge spike in flavor). That being said, cartos just don't have that awful taste when put in tanks... on the contrary, they provide great flavor, I don't taste any polyfill whatsoever, and I get the same hit every single time (which is really nice).
3. Happy New Year everyone!!!

I stayed away from the Provari for almost a year. I found a smoking deal on one so I bought it. I love it! I started out using SR cartos on it then bought a Big Daddy tank. My Provari did not work well with DCs so I went back to SR cartos. Now I have an Odysseus on it. It rocks with the Ody! Running a 2.4 Ohm coil on it now full of Boba's. Huge plumes of vapor.

I did not like carto's till i got my tank. When I tried a carto for the first time I liked the first 3-4 hits then i was like ughh. With the tank it keeps it like the first few hits on a fresh filled carto. Now I love cartos. If yah are worried about juices cracking the plastic I just bought a all stainless steel (tube and caps) lil mama tank. I got it cause I am hard on my equipment, has to with stand my tool bag, and my outdoor lifestyle. I have several tanks now, and I have come to the conclusion that a tank is a tank. It's the carto that makes it. Some people like boge, and some like others. You pretty much can put anything you like in them. My moral of the story is I did not like cartos now i do, hope this helps yah.

I love my Provari with the li'l mama tank from Big Daddy. I looks beautiful and is a vape machine. When testing new juices I put an io6 atty on it and drip. Cartos are fine but I really only use them for convenience when I'm out and about town on a juice that tests well with LR cartos and an ego battery (3.7 volts). Now that I have the ego-c (3.7 volt tank) I may just never go back to cartos without a tank. That's my $0.02, I hope it helps. The bottom line is that the Provari is a great tool if you want to dial in a flavor/ throat hit for a particular juice and vaping is really all about the taste. An added bonus is the built in battery checker and Ohm meter! I love that feature.

I was not to keen on cartomiser either, however I tried the Liquinator tank and it was really excellent.

Stupid newby question sorry, I ordered my provari and looking at tanks .. and on the Vape o matic Liquinator order page they make you choose the cart type: 510 Boge Regular, 510 Boge Low Resistance, 510 Dual Coil, and the kr808D. I don't know which one! I heard that the dual coils only work at a certain voltage on the Provari or you get an error message .. don't want to use that. So does the Provari use regular or low resistance carts? and if both which is better?

The only issue I have with carts is that they are high maintenance fill, refill, fill....you get the idea....you must keep them wet or as others have said the vape flavour suffers. On the other hand I like to rotate flavours frequently so I continue to use carts BUT have found that for me a 3.5ml tank I'm alright with but still like to switch out usually before I can drain it dry so I tend to put more of an all day vape in my 3.5ml tank....maybe I just need a couple more....lol

If you want to vape above 3.9-4.0V you will need to use a standard boge. Dual coil cartos will not work well on the Provari nor will LR cartos...except at lower voltage. I use 3.0 ohm boges in a Lavatank, lil mama tank, and j-tank.

Here is a picture of my Provari with a Lavatank using a 3 ohm boge ss carto.

The tanks that ProVape sells are the eGo Tanks. You don't want that one. You want a tank that takes either a CE2 cartomizer, OR a normal cartomizer like those made by Boge (or maybe a dual coil tank but probably don't want to go there yet.. I know I don't).

The CE2 type tanks, like theMAP Tank, use the inside of a CE2 atomizer. When you buy replacement CE2's for a CE2 type tank you need to cut off the outer casing. I have a post here where I show step-by-step pictures on how that is done. It's really easy.

The carto type tanks like the Liquinator use a normal type cartomizer. These cartomizers must also be modified before using them in a tank unless you buy them already punched. The carto's need holes punched in them so the juice can flow to the coil.

Which type tank is better? I have no idea. I only have experience with the CE2 tank and all I can say about it is that the CE2's last a very long time and they are very easy to clean because they are fully exposed.

wow , I am sure that was a great step by step but it scared me !!

Me too Kenzi:ohmy:

I also wanted a tank for the ProVari so I just ordered a bunch to learn and understand them. AND I did not want to have to tinker with them, nor, god forbid...buy tools! Here is what i ordered and from whom;

3446 Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml. Mad Vaps
3445 Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 5ml. Mad Vaps
Assembled Mini-Sub Tank with Boge 2.0 cartomizer. Mom and Pop Vapor Store
BDV "Lil' Mama" 3ml Stainless Steel Cap Tank Kit. Big Daddy
BDV "Big Daddy" 5ml Stainless Steel Cap Tank Kit. Big Daddy
Extra Cartomizers for both Big and Lil'. Big Daddy

All of these seem OK.......none leak, all have given me proper vapor, taste and throat hit. None disappointed and my favorite is the mini-sub tank because it is sooooo easy to fill......and I'm lazy. I have fiddled with voltage and found that I prefer the lower end, like between 3.3 and 4.5. I also have found that the low resistance cartomizers seem not to work as well as the higher ones. I am of the opinion sharpi's advice is correct, stick with the 3 ohm or so cartomizer. Prepunched cartomizers are what I use however I did breakdown and buy a tool:oops:.... a carto punch. Have not used it but I do have a tool now.....kinda scary

I am so lost! Okay... what I am getting from this is that I would get a CE2 tank? and then follow all these instructions and my juice will taste like it is suppose to? Can these tanks handle all kinds of juice or do they crack with some?

With the lava tank...does the flavor remain true...also can it handle all of the juices or will it crack as well?

What terrifies me is it seems the vast majority of ECF thinks the Provari isnt an all day carry device... and i rock it every day 3.0 ohm boges at 6 volts in a tank and when anyone asks what it is, i tell them its a crack pipe and offer them a hit.

Maybe im twisted but for my at home vape i want a dual 18650 GGTS with a full sized ODY so i can club people to death.
