an update to the situation. parents got in town monday. One of the very first things I did was load them up and take them to designated vaping. Told the owner what I was wanting to do. he took the time to explain in depth what was what ect. got my parents both hooked up with their own E Go tank kits and some 555 (3 and 5) juice. I am very impressed to be able to report that they both have gone with analog since we got the kits! Im hopeful and excited but time will tell.

One of the things I heard the owner of DV tell them was that he did not open the store because he thought it was a cool. he opened the store because vaping changed his life. To me that shows passion in something because he "believes" in the product and the benefits over analog. I was really impressed with that.

They are here for the rest of the week and neither one of them have a pack of analog so here is to hoping. Cheers!

My 2cents, and probably something nobody wants to HEAR. They won't quit. Ever. Until THEY decide they want too!! Learning to use an e-cig actually has a pretty steep incline. Once you ahve it down, and are used to it, you dont' see much difference between vapeing and keeping up smoking.

However, you could ban smoking from your house, and offer them the alternative of VAPEING. THat might do the trick for the nonce. Old time smokers, we are a bit harder to convert. We have to PLAY with the idea of vaping. Then decide if it's for us!

I agree with everyone here on choice of flavors, so I won't add anything to that part of the conversation. Flavor is really subjective!!!

I mentioned in my intro thread that my parents are coming in for the week. Both have been smoking hard core for 30+ years. I got my dad a Ego tank kit and want to get him started right. I am also wanting to get my mom vaping as well. For health benefits more then anything else.

What flavors and mg would you recommend starting them out with?

Logic tells me the tobacco flavors and high mg levels to start. Would this be a correct assessment?

due to how many they smoke and for how long i would suggest not going any lower than 18mg. when it comes to flavour its really down to the individual only thing i will say is make sure they start with dekang liquid ive tried loads over the yrs and get all my products and liquid from vape sensation do great offers on multi packs and mix and match all flavours good luck i got my mom one from vs and she is now 6 months and counting all the best

My Mom is 73 yrs old,I'm 50 so both of us have been 2-3 pack/day smokers. We have been using e-cigs now for 3 wks. We both went with Volt from SI. Volts just felt more like real analogs to us.Mother is a die hard menthol fan and I like non menthols.
Our thing was we wanted something simple, juices that tasted like what we were used to smoking.
With that said, each person is different no matter what age they are. What I did was get sampler packs in the mg as close as I could get to the mg we were used to with analogs.
My suggestion would be to print off the newbie tutorials and highlight the benefits of using e-cigs,that was what really gave us the confidence we needed to really make the change, I hope this helps.
