Ok guys, i know this is somewhat of a newbie question. I have been vaping k808's since july, i know my stuff as far as these models go but i am feeling the urge to switch to something else, ive seen ego's, 510's but 808's are so simple. I dont know exactly how these other ecig models work and do not want to go back to analogs just cause im not getting the true experience of vaping. I love it but 808's are losing their touch with me. Not enough vapor, crappy battery life, etc. Any help is truly appreciated guys!

Hey guys, i know you all will tell me to SEARCH! but believe me i have. I have been vaping for the past 6 months and have not even TOUCHED an analog . i have several Kr-808d-1 kits and it has been enough to keep me from going back to analogs, but i need something a bit more. Longer battery life and more vapor production. I really really do not want to resort back to analogs just because i cant figure out the proper vaping set up. I have seen other ecigs such as EGO, 510s, but quite honestly im fearful because they seem to be so much more complicated than 808's. Any advice is truly appreciated, Thanks vapers!

I can only tell you about my experience. I started with kr808 (V4L, to be exact) and found myself also wanting for something stronger and longer lasting. I switched to eGos and Rivas and never looked back. You have so many chices of atties and cartos and tanks when you switch to the 510 connection... And the new Rivas are the same voltage (3.7v, unregulated) as the kr808 batteries. The eGos are regulated at ~3.4v or so. I use mostly Boge 2.0Ω cartos, but I also like the new Smoktech cartomizers, single coil, in 1.7, 2.0 and 2.5Ω. They work great but you need to get your own ejuices and fill your cartos yourself. I also like the eGo-C tank atties--they come with empty tanks instead of carts.

If you're ready to try something new, I suggest you get a Riva (or an eGo) kit with cartomizers as you're already familiar with cartos. Rivas and eGos come in different sizes, from 650 mAh to 1100 mAh. They are dependable, inexpensive, widely available and last a long time.

Good luck!

Or - if you don't mind the size increase - you could get a mod, plus a couple of 510-to-KR8 adapters. This will allow you to use a big-battery 3.7v device or a VV device with your existing KR8 cartos. When they run out, remove the KR8 adapter and change to the 510 cartos or atties that nearly all mods come with threads for as standard.

Take a look at a Silver Bullet, this has a big battery, meaning it will give about 25% better vapor as there is no appreciable voltage drop, plus the battery lasts all day. It's big and chunky, which some will like, some will not. These simple big-batt mods are very reliable and the SB has a good rep.

A Lavatube is a good VV tube mod with the advantage of better safety than some, in theory, as it only uses one battery instead of two in series. It's cheap, which means that servicing may be required more often than others. It is a little smaller and lighter than the SB.

A Reo Grand works on a different principle, it's a boxmod with built-in liquid feed. It's all-metal and mechanical, so likely to be more reliable than models with electronics and standard switches.

Those mods all use the same battery, an 18650. AW's are a good brand. Some like the red IMR Li-Mn cells, some prefer the black protected IWR Li-ion cells.
