Hi
I'm new to this forum. I've read a few posts but at a complete loss as to where to go from here. Used to be a 30+ a day Marlboro man, now I tend to use roll ups for financial reasons . ecig sounds great but I don't know which one to go for. Also, do they work? Are they really any better than those nicotine inhaler things? Any recommendations welcome. Thanks in advance.

Well i think you should go for the DSE901 gameover its not to expensive and most people who have tried all the brands still end up back on the 901:) because its a good smoker :)

I'm about a month ahead of you gameover.

I started out with a 901 mini from Meltrex.
His service is top notch and everyone will tell you the 901 is a winner.

I would too, except that, although it works really well, it's a MINI!

I get a twenty minute break every hour. I generally smoke one and sometimes two regular cigs per break.

By the end of the 8 hour shift.....6 breaks....... I've gone through both batteries and God knows how many cartridges.

I am hooked on e-cigs.....but within 5 days I ordered a Kissbox Classic Penstyle.
The draw is easier.....smokes great, just like the 901 if not better, and I believe is a better alternative to actually replacing real cigs.

Two cartridges, two or three batteries, and some smoke juice will carry you through the entire day.

This cannot be said of the Mini's.

They are great for backups or a few hours out, but to replace cigs fully you need a full sized apparatus, at least I did.

Don't regret either purchase but the only thing I would have changed would be the order in which I bought them.

My next purchase is a Generic Penstyle so my Kissbox will get a rest from time to time.

Looking for one with interchangeable parts that will work with the Kissbox.
Keeping the batteries charged has turned into a bit of a juggling act.

I hope this helps and please realize that I personally want to completely replace smoking real cigs........if you just want to offset your real smoking than the 901 would do fine, but to last you all day and night your gonna find, as most do......you need something FULL sized and not just a MINI.

About being better than an inhaler -- WAY better. Those inhalers made me cough, they were terrible. And left an awful taste in my mouth.

The electronic cigarette does about the same job in terms of satisfying cravings for cigarettes, but it's way more like smoking (with the inhaling/exhaling "vapour" and all) which, I think, makes them better than the inhaler.

Go for it! :)

I totally agree with you because I've been down the same road. But some will disagree as game over explaining there on roll ups and on a budget so Generic will probably be more suitable .
Some Generic pen style batteries will fit your Janty atomiser. It will not work as brightly but it still works okay or slightly better than Generic pen style atomiser giving you that easy draw.

Or if you want even longer running time cartridge try the cigar.
I've been trying 2 of these in the past few days one Generic and other one branded name.
Both of these have been as good as each other . in fact the Generic one is working far better than the name brand .
Normally this works in the opposite way when I've smoked Generic cigarettes to brand names.

So this is a first for me to put the Generic before the name brand but don't tell anybody else because they will think neds gon mad.

cheap = disapointment!

err...sorry,but i dont agree with that at all.

expensive can also = disappointment with ecigs currently.

lets all try to understand a fundamental truth here, which many dont seem to realise or grasp...these devices are all cheap to manufacture...from generics,to big brands and rebrands...so dont kid yourselves...

thats a very good ecig youve ordered gameover, one of the very best-no matter how much you spend...but you need to get an extra battery for it.

OK. Cheap= disappointment, expensive=disappointment. I won't know till I try. So I'll just wait and see. I wish I'd ordered an extra battery now but there were so many "extras" available that I considered but I thought I'd see what the product was like before spending more. After all it may not suit me and so I end up having to get more normal smokes costing me more than ever.
What's with the battery thing anyway? Doesn't it last very long or what? As I don't know much about the ecig (yet!), I assumed it would have a battery like a phone, where you can put it on charge overnight when you're not using it. So I thought that would do me for the day but it's not looking good is it?
Oh well, we shall see. My ecig should be here this week, then hopefully I can relax a bit when watching TV without having to dive off to my "smoking area" or outside whenever there's a break.
I feel like I'm 13 again and having to hide my smoking. I thought when I "grew up" I'd be beyond all that. I suppose I was for a while but things turned around and now I feel like a kid again in that respect anyway.
I visited a well known theme park recently and was forced to find "designated outdoor spaces" which was a pain and spoiled the whole day.
It's got so ridiculous when you get restrictions on outdoor smoking which kind of suggests that it's not about the somewhat dubious claims of risks from "passive smoking" and more to do with "I don''t like what you do and I'll stop you doing it"
Right that's enough, I could rant on all day. I'll update when I receive and try out my ecig but I guess I'll still be hesitant at using in in public but at least I can scuttle off to the nearest toilet and probably get away with it---until they ban the ecig as well!
Best Regards to all
