Advice request reassembling stingray x

I recently went camping and took my stingray x. When I got home I disassembled and alcohol wiped/toothbrush then alcohol bath overnight. It all went back together well except the locking ring won't catch to rescrew. Checked the threads, all clean. Any advice?

Mine will only screw on in one direction, so maybe turn the ring upside down ?

The switch in my stingray is reverse threaded. Try screwing it on the opposite way. I spent 2 weeks trying to get mine back together and finally threw it in a bag and gave up. When reading a thread on the FT forum someone said remember it is reverse threaded. I put it back together in 10 seconds.
