I am totally impressed with the build quality of the Aegis X, I found the menu easy enough to use. The mod fits well in my hand, either pressing the power button with my thumb or turning it around to press the power button with my index finger. I put in fresh fully charged batteries and at 450 puffs on the counter with 1 bar left on the indicator I swapped the batteries for another fresh set. I did not see any noticable battery drain from the display screen.

I really like the Cerberus tank but do not vape above 40w much so I only used the x1 .2ohm coil for a day. I started out at 40w before dropping down to 35w. The vapor production was not as good at 35w so I switched to a super mesh x2 .3 ohm coil set at 35w and I was in my happy place. The Cerberus tank has good airflow and good flavor. This tank pairs very well with the Aegis X and is also very attractive.

5 clicks turns the mod on/off, 3 clicks get you into the menu where you can use the +/- buttons to navigate through the modes ( Temperature Control, Power, TCR, and Variable Power Curve, Bypass ) or click the fire button for other settings. 3 clicks than hold the +/- together gets you to the themes, maybe in the future GeekVape can add setting to allow our own themes to be installed.

The Aegis X has the IP67 waterproof rating as well as a military shock proof rating that Geekvape has become known for on their Aegis line of products. I do not charge batteries inside a mod, it is recommended to use an external charger. The Aegis X does have a 5V/ 2A charge rating. It has the same built in safety features that all of the Aegis line have. It also has M1-M4 memory settings so you could have four different settings saved.

Pros:

AS 2.0 chip ( fast reponse time )
durability
waterproof
shockproof
dustproof
hand form factor
display screen
all of the protections
Cerberus tank

Cons:

Things I do not like is where the charge/upgrade port is. Not a fan of it beinng on the top of the mod, the side would have been a better placement for the port.

The fire button is a little sensitive, wish it took a little more pressure to press/fire.

The screen protector did not last very long on the mod, after 3 days of using the mod I took it off.

The battery door is a little tough to close.

Conclusion:

Overall I really am impressed with the Aegis X that I will purchase one to add to my backup collection. The Aegis mini is still the mod I take to work everyday because of its size, The X is my daily out and about mod when I am not at work since I received it last month.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
