NOT the first post I wanted to make, but I need some help. I bought this Aegis/Zeus kit back in late March (my 1st GV product) and it has been FANTASTIC......until 2 days ago. I was sitting on the couch with the wife watching a movie vape in hand. I went to fire the mod and nothing. I looked at the screen and it was on with 4 bars of battery per side, so I hit the fire button again and it shut down.

I changed out the batteries for a fresh set and it turned on long enough for the GV banner to appear and it shut down again and hasn't turned back on since. I saw a similar post where the Aegis X wouldnt turn on, but there really wasnt much info to be had.

I've checked the battery leads which were clean to begin with, cleaned everything out, but still nothing doing. Both pairs of batteries I tried are 18650/3000mAh and were purchased at the same time with the kit. I'm at a loss here. I'm not an electrician, but I'm not ignorant to the ways. Anyone got anything to help me fix this thing without having to take it apart? Appreciate it.

Geekvape

Here is the vendor forum on this site. Post it there and either some of the users or a person working for Geekvape maybe able to help you.

Off hand it sounds like a short with the tank connection. Have you taken off the tank and cleaned the pin or tried a different coil?

Oh man Shank Aaron! I own four of them and I never had a problem. But you are not the first that I have heard about this. First thing first. Clean the battery contacts with alcohol and use a q-tip if you have to. There is a little pin between the battery bays and make sure to moves up and down. Well that is all I got. If it works let me know so I can tell others.

I did some searching... seems like others are also having issues (but don't have any solutions to offer) I know that doesn't help but you are not the only one having issues. I'm glad my new dual battery mod has a side door to install the batteries (haven't tried it yet) Geekvape has a good rep but that design of battery door does seem to be "problematic"... hope you work it out.

UPDATE- I took a closer look at the battery contacts and put two fresh batteries in and noticed that the negative battery didn't depress as far as the positive one did when I gently pushed down on them.

I took a small rubber tipped pick to the side of the negative post, felt slight movement and heard a soft "click". The post was stuck and wasn't getting good contact with the battery. Stuffed the batteries in and shes back to life! Thanks for the help everyone.
