I would like to thank Clay at Geekvape for sending me the Aegis X Zeus Kit to review.
The Aegis X Kit is a dual 18650 battery mod with the familiar Aegis look and a full face 2.4” color screen on one side. The size and weight of the Aegis X is almost identical to the Aegis Legend mod. This is a sturdy well-build mod that is waterproof, shockproof and dust proof (IP-67). There is no button rattle on this mod; the buttons are large and operate smoothly. It is rated up to 220 Watts and is powered by the AS 2.0 Chip.

I received the Black and Gold Edition but it is also available in Stealth Black, Gunmetal and Camo, Classic Silver, Green and Black, Rainbow and Black, Red and Black, or Signature Orange and Black.

The Aegis X is loaded with features. You get Power mode with Soft, Normal and Powerful preheat options, Temp Control (SS, Ni200, Ti, and TCR), Watt Curve mode (VPC), and Bypass mode. It has a standard TCR mode, which is fully adjustable in TCR mode but the standard TC mode are not adjustable. There are also 5 profile memory slots that you can program and switch to on the fly.
Power adjustments are in 0.1-watt increments under 100W and full-watt increments over 100W, hold the button to scroll quickly.

The Aegis X uses dual 18650 batteries fitted via a sliding latch door on the bottom which is the same as on the Legend. The latch is pulled back to allow the door to spring open. The latch is sturdy so it takes a bit of effort to open or close, but that makes it secure with little chance of the door opening on its own. Battery orientation is labelled at the bottom of the tubes and also embossed inside of the door.

Coil heads simply are press fitted into the chamber and pulled out to remove. The base has a positive plate for the bottom of the coil to make contact. Included are spare o-rings and a coil removal tool.

I used the tank with the pre-installed 0.2ohm Mech coil. Flavor was very good and comparable to the Zeus X RTA that I normally use. The capacity of the tank is 5 ml.

Tank filling is accomplished by removing the top-cap which is a bayonet style and takes about a half turn to remove, the same as used on the Zeus RTAs. The two kidney shaped fill ports are narrow meaning that glass droppers don’t easily fit but most standard bottle nozzles do. There is a groove running between the edge of the tank and chamber so using glass droppers or larger nozzles is still doable with some care, as juice will gather in the channel and flow down into the ports.

Overall, I like the Kit very much and find it to be a nice upgrade from the Aegis Legend. The 2.4 inch Color screen fills most of one entire side of the mod. It is bright and easy to read. No need for reading glasses here for those of us in older age group. Battery life comparable to the Aegis X.
